from jeopardy.com

PAM MUELLER

Date of first appearance:
November 10, 2000

Total winnings:
$55,000 and a 2001 Volvo S60 (still driving it!)

Records/Stats:
2000 College Champion, 2001 ToC semifinalist

Favorite anecdote associated with being on the show:
From the time I was on the show until I graduated, I was "The Jeopardy! Girl" at Loyola. I couldn't go to class or to the cafeteria without someone stopping me or someone pointing me out to their friends. It got a little frustrating, since none of the people knew anything about me beyond that one fact. One night, I was at a party, and a girl came up to me and said, "Hey! You're the Jeopardy! girl!!" My friend Nick then stepped in and said, "No. This is Pam . She was also on Jeopardy."

Did being on Jeopardy! have any affect on your life?
I had a brief period of mini-celebrity where I was instantly recognizable both on campus and on the streets of Chicago . Also, being able to put Jeopardy! College Champion on my resume gave me immediate intellectual credibility (whether deserved or not - you decide) and helped me stand out from the crowd when looking for jobs.

Did you do anything crazy with your winnings?
No, but if I do well in this tournament, I'm going to quit work early and travel for part of the summer - one last hurrah before law school.

Is there anything else you would like viewers to know about you?
Though I stopped performing with the Trinity Irish Dancers when I moved away from Chicago , I haven't left the stage. I have been performing in local productions of musicals in DC, and I'm choreographing my first show right now.

for anyone who maybe interested..

Tune in May 18 for BIOGRAPHY: JEOPARDY!
Including contestants in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions

Biography: JEOPARDY!

Since Ken Jennings' phenomenal and record-breaking series of wins last fall, JEOPARDY! has, for the past 4 months, invited back nearly 150 of the best players in the show's 21 year history for an "Ultimate Tournament of Champions".

All the players originally profiled in this program were included in this competition. It will culminate in a three-day, total-point Finals match taking place May 23rd through May 25th, when Ken Jennings returns to JEOPARDY! to compete with two other finalists for a two million dollar grand prize.

This special re-broadcast of "Biography: JEOPARDY!" first aired in December 2004 but contains new footage and recently updated Ultimate Tournament of Champions information.

Who is Ken Jennings? The man who stands to become the winningest player in game show history. He's the unassuming software engineer from Salt Lake City with encyclopedic knowledge of everything from Rock to rocks to Roman ruins. If he keeps up at this rate, he will become the biggest money winner in the history of game shows. He's already become a mega-celebrity because of it; he's appeared on Leno, Letterman, and was ABC News' Person of the Week, with much more to come.

Everyone wants to know how he does it, how he got there and how it's changed his life. But he's only the latest in a long line of JEOPARDY! big winners. In its 21 years in syndication, hosted by everyone's favorite emcee, Alex Trebek, the show has brought big money and fame to many others. This Biography will revisit many of these people whose lives were changed by their JEOPARDY! Experiences: people all JEOPARDY! fans know, like the handlebar-mustachioed New York Transit cop Frank Spangenberg; blind sportswriter Eddie Timanus; and Robin Carroll, who calls her home in Atlanta "The House that JEOPARDY!" built. And, over the years, celebrities from Kelsey Grammer to Stephen King to Jon Stewart tried their skill at the game; we'll re-visit their appearances on JEOPARDY!, too.

As JEOPARDY! continues to ride the wave of Ken Jennings' phenomenal success (it's ranked first in its genre for over 1,000 weeks and reaches 12 million viewers daily) this timely Biography will look at what it takes to know a lot more than the rest of us and how that knowledge can change your life forever.

I agree, she was very cute indeed. There was also another nice looking girl in the third round. I think her name was April.

Game 1 of 3 is over... and it was a pretty good game.

All three got the FJ question right.

All three have around the same amount with a difference of about $2-3k... Rutter is in the lead and Ken is in 3rd.

Ken is going to have to start doing some major wagering here, not his pansy ass wagers for Final Jeopardy he did before. He's in the big leagues now. If they keep on playing this close, it will be anybody's game come the third day.

Besides being uber-smart, Brad's got this quick, jumpy way he rings in. At first it irritated me but it obviously works for him. Ken had better step it up or he's in deep doo-doo .

These guys are good. Evenly matched too. I was just happy that I was able to get one of the Before During & After questions - I usually struggle with Before & After questions.

If you knew it, it must have been. I had no clue. Never heard of the quote/expression.

It was talked about constantly during the period between Reagan's death and funeral.

I only watched about an hour or two of the coverage the day of the procession along the Mall. Wasn't interested in anything else.

Game 2 is over. Tough game all around.

Final Jeopardy was kind of tough, with only getting it right.

Spoiler:
Jerome -> Day 2: $3,200 + Day 1: $17,600 = $19,600 (3rd Place; $18,800 off the leader)

Ken -> Day 2: $10,000 + Day 1: $16,000 = $26,000 (2nd Place; $12,400 off the leader)

Brad -> Day 2: $20,000 + Day 1: $18,400 = $38,400 (1st Place)

Tune into tomorrow for the winner of the $2M.

For clarification Alec made it a point to say that the winner gets $2M, second place gets $500,000 and third place gets $250,000.

As I mentioned above, I missed yesterday's show, but thought this Final Jeopardy question was rather easy, at least compared to the questions they all seemingly breezed through the rest of the show. I was surprised to see two of them miss.

It was an easy question. I'm not sure the exact wording, but it was basically asking what phrase John Winthrop used to describe the Mass. colony.

The answer was "City on a hill".
