I've actually been watching some of these (haven't watched much Jeopardy! since Ken lost), and I have to agree with most people that a lot of these questions are pretty difficult.
Can't wait til Ken comes back for the ultimate showdown.

Hey Turd, that's a funny hat. It's funny because it's ah, bigger than, ah...you know, a normal hat.
Sorry, couldn't resist on a Jeopardy thread.

So I was watching Jeopardy the other day and I couldn't believe how easy the questions were. Have they dumbed it down a lot? 10 years ago that guy would have never won so many in a row.

But to your meaning, the contestants in a given game have to answer the same questions. So if they are more difficult, I would think the better player would outclass lesser opponents even moreso. If the questions were quite simple, it would be all about the button, and anyone with good timing could be a thousand time champ. But with more difficult questions, you have to think about and believe you know the question before you just automatically buzz, and a truly smarter player will win every time over a good button presser who would probably end up with a vastly negative dollar amount. Obviously the best result will be by someone good at both, and that is Ken to a T.

Wow. I must be really dumb then. Cause I get confused as to how these people even know that random stuff.
Especially the geographical or historical questions...
The Al Pacino category last night I kicked their asses on though

Semifinals begin tonight. A pair of two-day, total point matches. The two winners here will proceed to the Finals and face-off against the most successful contestant in game show history: Ken Jennings. At stake is a two million dollar Grand Prize and the title of Jeopardy! Ultimate Tournament of Champions winner.
The 3-day total point final begins next Monday.
