Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Maybe when the producers are seeding the locker, they'll put in a memorial sign for Balelo. Barry will win the locker, pick it up & say its worthless, tossing it over his shoulder and it shatters in the hallway.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

My guess is because of how Balelo went out like a punk, they refuse to acknowledge it.

Can't stand the new auctioneers.

"Twenty dolla, twenty dolla, thirty dolla".

Drives me insane.

They did it months ago on the first new episode after his death. It was just the typical "In Memory Of..." text at the end of the episode.

I've watched every episode this season since he died and there hasn't been one that I've seen. I don't know what TheBigDave is talking about.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I'm not the only one that saw it. Here's a post from a couple pages back:

I couldn't find a screencap. But I did come across this posted on another message board:

Storage Wars had a memoriam for Balelo on the first show after his death.

So at least a couple people saw it. I don't know why you guys missed it.

It wasn't on a repeat. I think it was the March 18th episodes. They play repeats all day leading up to the airing of the new episodes. I think that's why KaBluie said it was a marathon. But the "In Memory" thing was on one of those two new episodes.

I don't watch repeats...and never saw the memorial either. Seen every single episode.

A&E/Beers plants trying to make us think there was a memoriam.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Maybe it didn't air on the West Coast then? I remember the first show after his death and it definitely wasn't there.

I'm surprised they didn't just wait and air one until after an episode he was featured in. He was the 4th buyer in the post-Hester era in only 2 episodes in Season 4.

Maybe that's it. Me and KaBluie are both EST. Evan Meadow, mcfly, GizmoDVD and Deftones are all PST.

I've seen a couple other message boards with people having the same discussion. A few posters wonder why there wasn't a memoriam, and other posters responding that they saw it. So maybe it aired in half the country, and got left off in the other broadcasts.

That's not it for me, because even though I'm in CST, I record the East Coast airings (DirecTV).

I'm not losing any sleep that they did or didn't do a memorial for Balelo. He wasn't even a regular. And, it's Storage Wars.

Makes no sense as Belelos warehouse is 15 minutes from me. I've met the guy before (guys from work used to buy some of his wholesale garbage).

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Why is there so much interest in a tribute to a guy who was a drug dealer and likely using laundered drug money to make bids on the show? Quite frankly I'm amazed he was even acknowledged once the truth came out. I would have cut him from every unaired episode.

We were never interested so much as curious as to see if they'd do it in light of everything found out about him after the fact.

Same with the idea that they still aired the episodes he was in without editing him out.

Slow your roll. I was just asking if they acknowledged his death, not if they fucking gave him a half hour tribute and vigil.

I don't think that's the case. It just came off as odd that they wouldn't slap an In Memoriam thing for a semi-regular cast member of a show. Nobody gave a shit about the guy, oddly enough.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I don't know where Barry got that tank but I WANT IT!

And Rene's girl, damn... is it a requirement that every woman on this show be a double D? Laura, Brandi, Nabila and now her.

Plus you got Darrell and those two twins but those are big boobs of a different sort.

BTW anyone notice the rock Brandi had on her ring finger? I guess she and Jarrod are finally going to make it legal.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

She's had the ring on for several episodes. Jarrod has referred to her as his wife a few times as well.
