Let's hope there's a caveat in her new contract that stipulates lots of bikini scenes.

there was a "pilot" of this after an episode of SW about a month or two ago. it was pretty stupid.

They pretty much had to get back Hester back, they needed a villain for the program.

While I like Brandi and Jarrod on the show, I won't be following the spin-off. I didn't see anything in that trial pilot that screamed must-watch television.

More Brandi. No Rene, Darrell or Ivy.

Works for me.

I should have known that all these special highlight episodes with Hester footage all over them was leading to his return.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Well, it cost Hester dearly. He had to pay all of A&E's legal expenses.

That is an older article. He appealed that ruling.

I imagine if he's back on the show, then all those legal issues were settled as a part of the deal.

In fact, the Enquirer says the case was settled on Friday:

I don't think even Hester could bring the show back to its former "glory". I'm amazed its even still running...

Well, it's probably cheap to make and re-runs might get OK ratings in the filler slots during the afternoons.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

The Hester episodes were odd. He didn't just come off as a jerk like before, he was an outright asshole to Laura. Dan was "away," not sure if he legit was away or if they were covering for his aneurisms. Anyway, his behavior was awful.

Nice to see Ivy doing well but that dude has the worst beard I've ever seen. He needs to clean that mess up.

As for the Brandi and Jarrod show, it was horribly scripted but it had its moments. Jarrod ditched the beard, but Brandi is sporting a tragic new haircut that aged her 10 years. Jarrod finally proposed to Brandi. I didn't buy her not being able to move after the workouts. She's talked in local interviews about doing pilates. So she was faking it. Still, nice boob shot of her on the bed.

I didnt think Dave was the one that started it though. Laura was the one that walked up to him and started the confrontation.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Having Hester show up was very weird, as was everyone's reaction to it. Aren't these SUPPOSED to be public auctions? There should have been more explanation. I get that supposedly Hester tried to take business from Dan and Laura, but that jackass also made them crazy money making everyone overbid for crap lockers. You'd think she'd be excited to see him. All very strange.

I suspect the uncle will play a role like Eldin on "Murphy Brown."

Eh, I wasn't keen on leading with it. That said, there was a great down shirt shot while Brandi was working out. Hope you DVRed it.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Once again, I don't care about who is on these shows, it's not a sitcom(?) or some story based show. I could do he edited version and it would be half as long.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I stopped watching this show quite some time ago. I did see the advert for the return of Hester. Once they brought in Rene and Ivy i was out. The show was already wearing incredibly thin by that point. I agree that seeing Brandi in skimpy clothing would get my interested again, but i doubt anything like that will happen.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Why would they let him back on the show after he filed a lawsuit against them claiming the show was fake?

probably because the ratings were going down. as much as people hate him, the show was better with him in the villain role.

Ratings go down in all shows after they've been on the air for years.

Do you want me to name all the other shows not an exception to the rule?

Maybe try a show in the same genre?

Don't make dumb comments about "all" shows if you don't mean it. Bottom line is they thought bringing him back may spark the ratings.
