It was on a repeat. There were no new episodes the 11th or the 12th.

Jarrod said on a roundtable chat after season one that they were not legally married, and I think he joked something to the effect of "I'm more married than any of you."

But with two stores and two children, there's a lot at risk. They should protect it all legally and be done with it. We don't have common law marriage in Cali.

I see Barry had a partner again. Ah well, it wasn't too bad this time. Nice to see Jarrod and Brandy (damn them tittays were swole last night) win a locker and my man Daryl bringing the Brand New Funk with an awesome locker full of collectibles.

Daryl hit the mother load with that collectible locker. Only problem is getting all those signatures authenticated. Nobody will buy that shit otherwise.

I love that idiot Rene trying to "teach" the twins, only to not pay attention and lose the auction. Fucking moron.

The man power to unload that stuff is seriously going to cut into his profit. Selling that many low priced items is going to take forever. The locker must have been from a person that sells at sports conventions and swap meets.

I found it interesting that the guy that Brandy and Jarrod meet noted that $450 is still good and a few years ago they would have been over the moon with it. I've noticed that about all the cast.

I remember hearing somewhere (Pawn Stars?) that 80% of sports collectibles are fake. I wouldn't trust anything coming out of some anonymous storage locker, even if it was "authenticated".

Probably the reason why that locker was available. Cut the autographed merch out of the equation and he might still make a small profit out of the locker but I'm sure peeps would buy it though with the "as seen on tv" in mind.

I dunno, there's still a LOT of Hot Wheels cars in J&B's store and they found that haul when, in season 1?

Hot wheel dealers are funny. I think I stated before that I sell at a flea market and the die cast dealers always charge a arm and a leg for HW. The non collecting population just sees them as sumthing they can pick up for a $1 new at Target. Who knows what B&J have on theirs.

I have a buddy who's been buying lockers for years (although he says it's almost impossible to make a buck these days thanks to these shows). He's scored on a couple of lockers like this one where it appears that someone has stored the contents of a small business. He usually sells the stuff in bulk to actual dealers and collectors. I remember him scoring a locker with about 100 different Dracula statues and figurines in it. He sold the entire lot on Craigs list about a month later figuring no way he's going to unload them piecemeal.

Oh dear God Barry's accountant...

The whole bit with him staying in the Airstream was silly, though. And Darryl was right. Ivy buys a ton of crap. Then again, he's in Palmdale.

Loved Jarrod rapping - and immediately regretting it - when he found the DJ equipment.

Brandi: "That was embarrassing."
Jarrod: "Yeah, I hope that doesn't make it to TV."

Yeah I once sold a couple of HW blue VW buses for $65 each. Only paid like .33 cents each on Black Friday.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Awesome flip, BigJim. My best HW flip was a TH that only brought $25 on a .89 cent purchase.

No kidding. After buying what, 4 lockers, he made $500? I know that's a lot but seems like by the time you unload it all the profits diminish. Of course, seemed like, as usual, he was overpricing a lot of stuff (but that's typical for this show).

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

The show is dead now.

http://radaronline.com/exclusives/20...films-goodbye/

One of the original cast members of A&E’s hit reality show Storage Wars has decided to stop bidding for treasure on TV and secretly filmed his farewell, RadarOnline has learned exclusively.

As the show expands into other cities while unable to refute well-documented accusations that the episodes are faked, Barry Weiss has decided to leave.

“Barry secretly taped a farewell recently,” a source close to the show tells Radar. “They haven’t announced he’s leaving yet but as of right now he is not coming back for season five.”

I have a feeling Barry is going to get his own show somewhere.

I agree. Seems he'd fit in on The Travel Channel.

As far as the show goes, I'm basically done. The one's I like now are Darrell, Brandi and Jarrod but they'll keep getting these other clowns on and be over-the-top (even more so) to replace Barry's antics (which were still funny).

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I would love a show featuring Barry, The Most Interesting Man in the World, and Si from Duck Dynasty. Don't even try to script it, just let em riff off the tops of their heads.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Thank god! Saw a preview for tonight's episode that shows Barry dressed and made up in drag.

I think it's time for him to go since they really don't know what to do with him now. Add the mess of the newcomers and it's safe to say that I'm gonna say adios to SW.

Well, hopefully they'll force Brandi to start wearing tank tops and short shorts.
