Re: MasterChef -- Season 4 Thread -- Summer 2013 (FOX)
No!!!! Jessie!!!! What am I going to look at for eye candy in the finale? Seriously though, I had her and Luca pegged for the finale since before the top 10. Hope Luca wins, Natasha sucks.

Re: MasterChef -- Season 4 Thread -- Summer 2013 (FOX)
I remember saying to a friend earlier in the competition that I wasn't sure how things were going to play out, -the show loves "heart" stories, and Luca was the only one they pushed like that, but he was too inconsistent, -one dish bad, one dish good, -to make it anywhere near the end. Funny how that worked out, -in fact, I imagine Luca was set for the finale and it was always between one of the girls. Luca's arc is very much like a contestant on "Hell's Kitchen", where they get remarkably more skilled once they get closer to the end. I'm sure the show would like a male winner this time, but I'm that probably won't effect the outcome.

Ugh, Natasha is a bona fide narcissist and bitch. I was hoping for someone else in the finals, like Brie, the blonde, or the bearded guy. Go, Luca! (I can't believe I watch this dross)

Curious if Bri's nerdy look is just a put-on for the show... here she is a bit more glammed up. (spoilered for size)

Wow, it looks like a completely different woman. She looks fantastic.
It seems like Jessie & Natasha seemed to glam themselves up a bit for the show, with the dresses or skirts, high heels, etc but I noticed the last couple of episodes it showed one or both of them taking off their uncomfortable shoes and cooking in flats or even barefoot, IIRC.

Hm. Wonder if the producers put her up to it (likely, considering the accessibility of her modeling/acting resume), or if it was an amazing bit of performance art (/con).

She looks an awful lot like Aubrey Plaza in those photos. As for this weeks past episodes, I am so glad Krissi didn't make it to the Top 2. We'll never have to hear her unbelievably annoying pronounciation of the words food and cook ever again, how much she "hates" Asian food (even though admitting to Joe she hasn't tried most of it), or calling everyone a bitch. She was clearly the villain this season.
I was neither a Natascha or Luka fan going in and I'm still not, but I would easily take Luka over Natascha since her attitude and self-proclaimed perfection is enough to make someone wretch.
Sad to see Jessie go, too, but I'm sure she'll manage. She's a professional model and the daughter of a former NHL star so I don't think her losing this will truly hinder her from succeeding in the industry should she want to.

When it comes down to its really about who will help sell more cookbooks and cookware. So yeah, Luca is gonna win I think.

Good finale tonight, and it turned out exactly as it should have. Great dishes for every part of the meal the judges tasted, and though you could tell they were having a hard time deciding, you knew who was going to take it home.
I only wish they hadn't let a little nastiness slip through and allowed Krissi to flap her fat fucking gums from the peanut gallery. This episode was so not about her, and made the rest of the show after that just a tiny bit less enjoyable.

Glad to see Luca won. Natasha was a **** and so was Krissy. I'm surprised Jessie wasn't in the finale though, thought she would be.

Happy to see Luca win and it was nice that they flew his family in from Italy.
Natasha had beautiful plating and I'm sure she's a great cook, but I didn't care for her personality at all.

While Jessie was a good cook, I don't think she was quite as good as Natasha overall, and it showed in the placement of the final people. Personalities aside, I think almost everything turned out the way it should have. Krissi had no business getting as far as she did. Her cooking was Better Homes & Gardens, at best. Good enough for her little fat kid at home, but not for serving at fine restaurants.

Geesh, I think making fun of her kid may be a little much, but, she surely came off as an unlikeable douche. When she started laughing as one of the contestants were voted off the show I was disgusted with her. No class what so ever.
I also felt that a lot of the pressure challenges were tailored to her Italian cooking skills, just to keep her around a bit longer.
Why Joe and his mom would ever, ever want to spend an evening eating dinner with her is beyond comprehension, she truly is unlikeable. And just mean.
Luca deserved the win, great job!!! Liked how he shared ingredients with his competition once they realized they had forgetten them.
I agree with everyone about Natasha, she just came off more unlikeable as the end neared.
Oh well, I really like the show, but have no idea what they are thinking with this kid version.

Josh from Season 3 killed himself last night.

Apparently he was arrested earlier this year and claimed to have been possessed by Ramsay who turned him into God. He suffered from schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder.

(MCH-501) (TV-14 D, L)
Host/Judge: Gordon Ramsay
Judges: Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot
Returns tonight. This was renewed through season 6. It will come back next summer.
The Hell's Kitchen season 12 thread is absolutely dead this year. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that no one is watching it anymore here. I guess the formula got tired for most of you. I admit, I haven't had time to watch Hell's Kitchen this season.
I do really like MasterChef though. I think it's one of the better cooking competition shows on. I try to keep up with this one more consistently.
Graham looks alot better now with the weight loss.

Lame, they kicked out this seasons eye candy already. Chandis was pretty cute. Oh well, I guess I will still watch. Maybe Jesse can come back from last season.

Wow, they revamped the show and killed the massive tryouts going straight to a top 30. Those auditions usually lasted up to 2 weeks.
Guess they wanted to cut some of the fat. I know last season lasted 25 episodes.

Noticed that right away, but it was the only part of the show I never cared for anyway, glad they got rid of it.

Oh God
total unnecessary drama with Gordon jerking around that fat chick Elise.
I need another week to figure out who is who since they killed the auditions.
