If Christine says "man" one more time I'm gonna slap her. Man that's unattractive.

I thought the same thing. She brought out her inner psycho in the pressure challenge. Maybe it was strategy.

Glad to see Max gone. He just came across as a miserable douchebag, and not much of a chef to boot.

Re: MasterChef -- The 2nd Season Thread -- Premieres 6/06/11 on FOX

Where it could have gone either way (Christine falling apart and Max making the 'tastes like a skin graft off my butt' dessert), I wonder how much Max throwing around terms such as "scumbags" on multiple occasions when referring to his fellow contestants played into his leaving? I realize they want drama, but this show seems more family oriented than say Hell's Kitchen. As much of a douche as he was, I can't say I wasn't caught a bit off guard when he dropped those comments.

I dunno, if it was a family oriented decision, I'd think they'd have booted Christine off for winning the Most Bleeped Out Words award.

I loved when they were doing the challenge and someone yelled something like, "Concentrate and do your best, Christine!", and she yelled back, "What the fuck do you think I'm doing?".

Yeah, Max was a douche, but at least he kept his composure during the pressure test. Christine's attitude was just nasty, and I was a little surprised she won. You should never cook angry or drunk, it comes out in your food.

Sometimes angry or drunk coming out is a good thing.

Re: MasterChef -- The 2nd Season Thread -- Premieres 6/06/11 on FOX

Holy shit, Joe was such an ass tonight. He was such a dick to Adrian about how he didn't plate his dish correctly.

Great episode tonight. I like these challenges where the contestants have to replicate the dishes based on sight and taste.

I don't know about the rest of you, but Whitney's 3 dishes looked great. I don't eat alot of Southern style cooking, but they looked great on camera, especially the cat fish.

Between Alejandra, Adrian and Jennie, I was so sure that Alejandra since she butchered the tartar sauce, but I guess Jennie screwing up her slaw was a bigger problem.

I think it was that Jennie basically didn't get any part of it right.

Re: MasterChef -- The 2nd Season Thread -- Premieres 6/06/11 on FOX

Anyone watch this week? There was only 1 episode this week because of the MLB All-Star Game.

at Christine during the pressure challenge. She was a psycho.

Not surprised that Esther got the boot. She was way out of her league. Plus, the fact they she screwed up the dessert 3 times was embarassing. I couldn't believe the results were so close for that dessert they made and Giuseppe's dessert.

to Ben's cake. It looked phenominal.

I kind of like Suzy, but I'm glad she got a reality check on this episode. She seemed to think that everything she makes is so awesome and delicious and I was glad the judges put her in check with the cake.

Can't understand why they even put up with her. Anger management therapy is required.

I can't believe how much Ben cries. The dude was crying before anyone even sampled the cake.

I thought Christian might be a front-runner, and he is, but his attitude sucks and they won't let him win because of it.

Suzy and Ben need to tone it down.

Ben's fine. That's Ben's nature and he seems to genuinely care about the other participants. That's refreshing, compared to the countless "I'm the best, fuck all these other slimeballs, now watch me make a tort" idiots.

Re: MasterChef -- The 2nd Season Thread -- Premieres 6/06/11 on FOX

Just watched Monday's episode.

at how stupid Jennifer was. She had an amazing advantage and I can't believe she wanted to risk that to cook $500 Truffles. She got lucky that Adrian's dish looked like dog shit in diarrhea and Erryn's was incomplete. Erryn's was absolutely a no-brainer.

Loved Joe screaming at Christian in the 1st part of the episode after the lobster challenge.

I'm surprised that we didn't see Ben's or Suzy's dishes in this episode.

Did I miss something or was Tracy missing from the elimination challenge?

They showed everyone but Tracy tonight. They did something similar with Eryon or however the hell you spell it, he went missing for about 4 episodes.

Joe was in full drama queen mode last night

at the scallop with the fried egg on top. That looked awesome.

Re: MasterChef -- The 2nd Season Thread -- Premieres 6/06/11 on FOX

OMG, Joe was out of control in this episode. For a second, I thought he was going to take Suzy and Jennifer by the ears and throw them out.

Hard to feel bad for Alejandra. She didn't double check her work and brought raw pork out.

at Gordon getting pissed at Alejandra for calling him sir.

It seems to me that Suzy really overachieved in the 1st few episodes and is barely hanging on now. The judges haven't been impressed with any of her recent dishes.

It's weird watching Hell's Kitchen and this back to back. It's literally 2 different Gordon Ramsays.

So are you saying we're seeing the depth of character Gordon can play with these 2 roles? In his other shows he's not the dick he portrays on HK either. In some he can be quite warm and inviting.

My damn DVR cut off right as Joe was about to tear Suzy up. I'll have to find this ep on hulu for the recap.
