After every episode first season, I'd read the "Treme Explained" post about each episode. I thought it really helped me appreciate the series.
Oh wow, thank you for that link!

Love this show.

Anyone else think that the woman with Albert was the woman doing the movie on the Indians?

Also, when Delmond was talking to his friend during the parade, he kind of stopped and zoned out for a second. Was that because he got the inspiration to combine the Indian chants with the jazz music? Seems like a cool idea.

Yeah, that's what I took from it. I'm sure they will explore it in the next episode.

Man, I just love this show, it's a shame no one watches it, just like David Simon's last show.

Re: Treme -- "Can I Change My Mind?" -- 6/12/11

Some great development this episode.

Davis' band was great, and Annie's new song is wonderful. I hope it winds up on the inevitable soundtrack. My girlfriend still dislikes Davis (she says he reminds her too much of the arrogant law school students she knows) but I think he's really grown this season. He's shown a lot of heart, and Annie and him make a great pair.

Looks like Sofia and her mom are finally leveling with each other and letting out some much needed grieving.

I was hoping LaDonna's husband would be a bit more understanding and supportive, but I honestly don't know how I'd react if I found out my wife had gone through something like that. I'd like to think I'd understand, but it's so fucked up, who really knows?

Still don't know where they're going with Nelson, but I have a feeling it will lead up to something that will change a lot of lives. For the better? I hope.

Janette's new job will be interesting, if only because my girlfriend's brother is an extra in the kitchen for this next gig of hers.

I love where this season is going.

Absolutely great episode! Great character development like CKMorpheus said and, like always, the music absolutely was amazing.

Besides the other characters already mentioned, I'm really enjoying both the Antoine storyline and the Sonny storyline. I hated Sonny last season, but I really like what they're doing with him. Same with Antoine.

I'm still an episode behind, but I'm enjoying this season more than I did season one. I think they've found a better balance between the storytelling and the music this year.

Steve Earle getting wacked was a real disappointment.

Up until a few days ago, I thought he was playing himself. That would have made it a real surprise.

Love this show. Really enjoying Delmond and Chief's back and forth banter. Total bummer about Earle's character. Liked the Batiste vs Kermit crowd stealing.

So good money on Steve Earle's murder being the first homicide case David Morse gets? (Yes I am just as depressed as you that I don't know the characters' names).

I'd say that's a good bet. I also think this will somehow drive Annie back to Sonny.

I hope not. Annie and Davis are great together.

Was Annie ever a junkie like Sonny? Or just tolerated Sonny's drug use?

Re: Treme -- "What is New Orleans?" -- 6/19/11

I think she just tolerated it. But I dunno, I just don't get/like Davis. So seeing Annie with him just doesn't make sense to me. Davis feels like a character that was developed to go into a different direction than where he is now. I doubt it was written that way though since David Simon is pretty spot on. And while I love Steve Zahn in 99.9% of everything he does, him in this show is the .1% where I don't like him. I also wonder where the character of Nelson is going.
