Yes, for me Lost jumped the shark when a very rich and rather large character chose to fly coach as oppose to first class :)

The first shot seems to be a slightly younger version and might be a different actor. Also, why are his arms at his sides and is that blood on them? The hair is certainly longer but with the same clothes. Maybe young Jacob survived a suicide attempt (slit wrists) and was saved by the island.

As for being Jacob, the last two shot are very close for the eyes.

I don't think it's two different kids at all. The blown out lighting of the first shot obscures his features somewhat and makes him seem different.

It might even be the same actor but shot at a different time so he could grow and be different for the two shots. The first shot, he's by himself and could have been shot at anytime, even a year or more ago when the actor was younger. The second shot has Locke and Sawyer so it was filmed recently along with the rest of the episode.

It's possible they used the bright lighting effect so they wouldn't have to match exactly any of the current photography in the surrounding scenes.

I'm officially thinking way too much about LOST.

I think the whole "special" bit about Walt was because of his perception ability and took it that it was the reason he had to go.

Michael Emerson was on Jimmy Kimmel the other night and said he thinks his teaching appearance in the NC time period will have a bigger meaning when it's played out. He also said he has some great scenes with Locke later on. Can't wait for those.

I just thought of something....isn't it almost foreshadowing that Locke's father was killed when he was strangled by Sawyer and then LATER Locke himself is killed in the same way by Ben?
