The kid is obviously Sawyer's daughter.

it also looked like there were two aisles. I thought lock was on the left aisle and hurly was on the right aisle. |

Re: Lost: The Final Season -- "The Substitute" -- 02/16/10
But SWA doesn't have first class whereas Oceanic airways does.
Also, Hurley was flying from Australia to LAX whereas Smith was flying from Oakland to Burbank. |

Re: Lost: The Final Season -- "The Substitute" -- 02/16/10
I was on a cross country flight one time and there was an NBA player riding in coach. So, I'm not going to discredit LOST because Hurley wasn't in first class.
|
Re: Lost: The Final Season -- "The Substitute" -- 02/16/10
So because one fat, rich guy is ok with riding uncomfortably for 1 hour then all fat, rich guys will be ok doing that for over 12 hours?
Gotcha. |

Re: Lost: The Final Season -- "The Substitute" -- 02/16/10
I guess I'm just confused because as soon as he won the lottery, Hurley bought the biggest and best for his family and himself. See that giant yellow Hummer, for example. I just find it hard to believe that Hugo "Hurley" Reyes (not Kevin Smith whom I didn't bring up) would not ride up front in comfort and style.

you said it's a suspension of disbelief that a rich man would fly coach. Kevin smith is a rich man. and a fat man. he didn't fly first class. It happens.
Although it's possible Hurley is cheap in spite of his wealth. |

I can't disagree with that. Then again, maybe it was the only direct flight at the time he needed so he really had no choice. To be honest, I only knew the KS thing happened. I didn't know any details (like departure and arrival stations) until I felt forced to look it up today :) |

Are you saying that Kevin Smith couldn't have flown another airline that offered first class? |

Re: Lost: The Final Season -- "The Substitute" -- 02/16/10
Maybe first class was full? Besides, Hurley was flying coach on the original 815 flight that crashed, right?
On a related note, this is why I love these threads. We have some of the most bizarre discussions about LOST that I've read on the internet. |

 I do love this tangent we're on. I'm going to miss this show when it's gone.

Yeah, I'm gonna miss it too. I don't post all that often, but still good to read all the discussion.

Well, we do know for sure that at least Shannon and Boone were not in FC this time, though some other red shirts may have taken their places. I feel like we saw the front section of the plane in "LA X" and there were empty seats. |

Finally figured it out: the kid is young William Wallace
