Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread
I haven't watched in ages, but I did tune in last night and laughed from start to finish. Loved it! The chemistry between Craig and Josh as Geoff is probably the funniest stuff to hit late nite in ages. Is it just me, or does the new set have a Pee-Wee's Playhouse vibe?

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread
I know it's already discussed in another thread, but we should acknowledge the passing of a longtime friend of the show, Michael Clark Duncan.

I am expecting that it will be mentioned on the show, especially since he MCD was in Scotland with him recently.

Yeah Craig's show was one of the first things I thought of when I heard about MCD's Death.

Me too, as that was the last thing I saw him do. It was what, probably just two months before the heart attack that eventually led to his death?

I always thought he tried a little too hard to be funny on Craig, but I cut him some slack b/c he was obviously having a ball goofing on his image.

Just ran through a couple of weeks of episodes, and still enjoy his show. Anyone else still watching? Really liked the Minnie Driver interview.

I tend to fast forward to the interviews as well. Like the opening, tweets, etc but the interviews are where Ferguson shines.

What a fantastic episode with Stephen Fry last night. All of his episodes are brilliant, and last night's was no exception. Loved the discussion on the existence of God and religion.

Got to celebrate my 50th birthday on Friday by attending the Craig show live taping at CBS. Second row from the front, just about dead center. It was awesome. The warm up comedian (Chunky B) banters with Craig a little bit in between segments. Craig goes to his desk to get his pipe for the show opening. Chunky says "I'd be happy to hold your pipe for you..." Craig gives a wink to the audience and says "Get in Line, Motherf*cker..."
You can easily get the vibe in the studio that these guys really have a great time working together. Had such a good time...would really recommend anyone going if they have the chance.

I'd love to attend a taping. I was going to bump this because of the Teri Polo interview, which really seemed like it left him a bit flustered to me. The Geoff doing Morgan Freeman to Morgan Freeman is always great. The real Freeman thought it was a recording. Josh Robert Thompson has that voice nailed.

A couple of things I learned from watching this week: Jenji Kohan (creator of Weeds & Orange Is The New Black) used to be an intern for Henry Winkler & Courtney Love tried to sleep with Craig a few years ago at a party in Carrie Fisher's house.

I haven't seen it, but apparently Josh has a cameo in Scary Movie 5, doing the Morgan Freeman voice, then a reveal that its really a white guy

Here's an interview with Peter Capaldi, the new Doctor Who. They talk about being in a band and dropping acid together when they were 17.

I saw on the Tivo yesterday that she was going to be last night's only guest. Looking forward to it.

I think that he was friends with her parents, wasn't he? He mentioned it in an interview before. He alluded to the fact that he felt creepy for gawking at her.

A couple of great episodes in the last few weeks: Alice Eve, Connie Britton, Neil Patrick Harris, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, etc. The one with Britton made me wonder if they dated in the past...

So the latest rumor is that Craig's contract won't be renewed and Chelsea Handler will be his replacement. Ugh. I've said before that it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't renew as he's mentioned in a few interviews that he didn't seem too keen about resigning, but I guess it looks like CBS may be pushing him out. If so, I'll miss him.
