Loved the Scarlett Johannson interview last night. Might have been my favorite awkward pause since Topher Grace.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

I couldn't stay up, but made sure to dvr it because of Scarlett. I think she's a much better actress than she gets credit for, but I was also reminded how her part was originally given to Emily Blunt. I like Emily even more. Having Scarlett for the entire show, with no other guest, was nice. I wish he'd do that more often, especially with guests that make for great interviews (Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, Lauren Graham, etc.).

Yeah, Sophia needs to be added to our unofficial best guest list.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Her OTH clip made me want to check out the show. I think that could be added to this thread:

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/tv-talk/573...t-tv-show.html

Except that, "hot chick wearing nothing but a bow" is an awesome reason to check out a show.

It's nice when other people articulate your own thoughts. I was thinking the exact same thing as him!

My favorite moment of the week was when Craig mentioned that Donald Glover's Twitter feed would be "donglover" (aka DONG LOVER).

Geoff Peterson is the greatest robot sidekick in late-night history.

Geoff Peterson: "Maybe you should start to wrap it up."

Geoff Peterson: "Oooh, what about tweets?"

I've watched Craig since he first started hosting the Late Late Show and for the past 5 years he's been the best late-night talk show host and the Late Late Show has been the best late-night talk show for the past 5 years.

I'm always thinking about hobos now.

I watch the show from start to finish. He's the best interviewer on late-night TV and like the brilliant Morgan Freeman interview the other day; he'll talk about anything and won't be trying to talk about the upcoming project or movie for 10 minutes.

Plus he swears!

I'm for the whole hour.

Those were some of the best moments of the entire episode, which is saying something because there were some great bits during the Steven Wright appearance as well. Geoff is really coming along. Whoever thought of getting George Takei to voice him had a stroke of brilliance.

Ferg and Kate Mara have great chemistry.

She was giving him the old "fuck me" eyes throughout the interview.

Is that really George Takei as the voice of Geoff? I know it certainly sounds like him, but i didn't know it was though

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

I'm pretty sure it's Craig's voice doing a Takei impression, but I could be wrong.

According to Robot Skeleton Army News, it's not him or Craig - it's voice actor Josh Robert Thompson (who's also done Morgan Freeman, De Niro and Schwarzenegger impressions for the show).

Robot Skeleton Army News? Do tell!

Incidentally, my wife streamed The Ugly Truth a few days ago from Netflix and was excited to discover it has a scene where Gerard Butler's character is interviewed by Craig on The Late Late Show. A neat little gem.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Some more great stuff from Geoff Peterson last night.

Craig Ferguson: "Anyways, It's the commercial break time."

Geoff Peterson: "Awesome!"
