Yes she is! She was just terrible on her L&O CI stint.

I recorded it last night and just watched it. Va-va-va-vooom! Hot Damn, that dress, those boots. And she seemed VERY happy to be there. (almost too happy)

Loved the whole thing about doing the closing at the start and the cold open at the end and not quite thinking everything through, too.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Alicia Witt was great! (Looking and as a guest.) Googled for stills from that show. No dice.

Adrienne Palicki last night was great as well. Not sure I was crazy about the hair style change (I hadn't seen that until last night), but everything else was fantastic. She and Craig seemed to work well off one another. "I can read hieroglyphics." "Really? What's it say?" "Boobies"

And I loved her laugh! She genuinely seemed to enjoy herself. (Although, to be honest, who wouldn't enjoy being a guest on that show?)

Her dress + necklace seemed to be a perfect rack display

and I'll be dammed, Fitty Cent's interview was actually very good. i was expecting full on train wreck material, but he and Craig had good chemistry together

Craig's Hip Hop guests/interviews have always been great. Does anyone remember which Rapper spent the day with Craig's Mom? It was early in the show's run.

EDIT: It was Rza

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Wed/Thur night's show was one of the best I've ever seen Craig do. Obviously
anything Eddie Izzard is involved with is the funny but turning the format on its
head was fascinating.

And that cook....did you see all that butter he used? And peaches in baked beans!?

I know! That was a genuinely enjoyable interview to watch, from discussing being too old for stage names like "50 Cent" or "Kid Rock" to marketing schemes like telling the audience his new album should cost $19.99, but they'll feel great for finding it for less.

Eddie and Craig are a great combination. I love the way they play off each other.

I felt my arteries choking just watching that segment. Still, it was funny as hell. I liked the BBQ guy's line: "we speak the King's English in Georgia...Elvis."

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

I was prepared to hat the 50 cent interview, but it was surprisingly good.

Craig and Eddie were just fantastic. When Craig laughs that much, you know the guest is sharp and Craig enjoys the interplay.

That barbecue guy segment was pure gold! From the King's English, to the accent misunderstandings, to the 3 cameras outside ("That's more than we have inside"), to the peaches ("That's like sex in your mouth!"), just a top notch spot.

Craig seems to make almost any guest good and the ones that can work (or are already good) that much better.

BTW, I forgot about the Presidential SOTU or whatever and didn't reset my DVR accordingly. So first, even though I watched two nights ago with the reversed beginning and ending, I was FF through Letterman and when I stopped it wasn't the beginning of the show and I flipped. Then, I watched and as I got the end I hear "Que aprendimos en el program Senor Craig? ay, yai, y......." I was a bit miffed.

Yeah I'm not a huge Rosie fan but her appearance last night was pretty darn good. Her take on the Late night things was great too, especially since I agree with her.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

What a stellar week, even by Craig standards. T-Th in particular seemed especially strong.

I'm telling everyone I know about this show (DVR it if you have to) because Craig just seems like he's gaining steam.

(As an aside, as I watch the DVR'ed episode the next day, it always gets the last few seconds of Letterman. It's usually him coming over to the stage after a musical guest has completed their song. The same robotic, disingenuous comments when he comes over just make me sick. I understand you might not like the artist/song, but just repeating the same schtick every night seems so hokey. I never really had a problem with Dave, but seeing this moment 5 times a week is just bleh.)

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Well you can only fake liking a band in so many ways. Letterman has good taste in music and it is quite obvious when he really likes a band:

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

^that was really enjoyable. also, Letterman rarely ever lets a band play a second song
If you wanna hear when Dave really has no idea who the hell the band is
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OK60yq5mGfw&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OK60yq5mGfw&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
also notice too that the director screwed up, cause he didn't realize that the drummer is the one singing the opening verse

Letterman seems to like the band Morningwood.
