Saw Chloe and really enjoyed it (some parts more than others).

Cracked up at the end of the show when Craig said that both women gave him a really *bleeping* hard time, because he was dead on.

My God, yes! That episode was hilarious, as well as painful to watch. I couldn't tell how much of what came out in the interviews was anxiety and how much was narcissism...and in the second interview, just outright rudeness. To borrow from The Sports Guy, I'd say there was a lot of "unintentional comedy" in that episode.

I usually try to watch any talk show that Amanda Seyfried is on, and she's like that with everybody. I think she only started doing them like a month ago.

I saw Chloe, and other than a few scenes I found it rather bland.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Just watched the episode with Mark Harman and I swear that is what Tom Cruise will look like when he older. They have exactly the same laugh.

Also watched the RDJ one and that silence was amazing.

is it just me or was the lighting better back when this show aired then the show does now. I love his storytelling skills. It never seems like he's reading from the prompter

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

I loved the intro at the beginning:

Craig Ferguson: "Peabody of course was the name given to me when I was at camp."

Craig Ferguson: "A repeat is something you show when it didn't win a Peabody award. When you win the Peabody award, it's an encore performance."

The interview was brilliant. Craig proves why he's the best interviewer on late-night television. The interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu was humbling, moving and funny.

The part about telling your story is so true. When I talk about my clinical depression I find my happiness. When you tell your story it can move others and when you don't hold everything in and you talk about your struggles (like Craig); it makes you stronger.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: "One of the things about having a dark skin, is that when people say things like you were saying, you don't see that I'm blushing."

My favorite line of his in the entire episode...and you also quoted one of the several lines of Archbishop Tutu that I loved:

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: "One of the things about having a dark skin, is that when people say things like you were saying, you don't see that I'm blushing."

I've found this to be true with my Crohn's disease, as well. The depression and anxiety I only like to discuss in the context of Crohn's; the prevailing sentiment in my community seems to still be that mental/emotional disorders are made-up terms to justify peddling pills to whining babies who can't join "the real world." I've given up trying to be an ambassador for changing that here.

Geoff gets his own twitter jingle
and a one of the tweets was 'me and my friend like to do a drinking game where we take a shot everytime you hit the camera' and then craig hits the camera like 30 times

Loved that!

Kind of a "meh" interview with Jon Favreau tonight.

I liked that they kept joking about the fact that the interview wasn't taped today.

I'm watching the Seyfried interview. I don't know if she is on something or if she wasn't sure what to expect going into this interview

Yeah, that joke has kinda gotten old for me. Another thing that's gotten old is guests being surprised by the snake mug. Craig has had that thing forever. Enough already.

Geoff Peterson is comedy gold, though. He's worked out far better than I expected.

I noticed the lighting thing too and hubby said 'guess that bulb hadn't burnt out yet' [/no budget joke].

Those people are idiots and don't know what the fuck they're talking about.

Depression is nothing to be ashamed of and getting help is a great thing. Some people are just so fucking stupid when it comes to issues like this. They have an opinion on something they don't know a damn thing about and haven't done any research.

Greatest jingle ever! I was so hard when Craig was saying Geoff was drunk and they went back and forth talking to each other. Geoff: "I'm cold."

I loved when Geoff asked Craig if they could check the tweets during the Jon Favreau interview.

NOO!!! Malinky2Stoatir's YouTube account has been suspended and his videos have been removed. That would be fine except CBS takes a week to put the shows online.

Well put. I had one very conservative friend who thought this way until he actually witnessed the change in me once I got on anti-depressants. It just confirmed by hypothesis that the strongest beliefs against something are typically held by people with no actual experience with the subject.

Back on topic, I missed last night's episode 'cause I had to get treatment for another flare yesterday afternoon and I slept for, like, 19 hours. It sounds like Geoff is really coming along, which is great. I love that creepy robot!

Here's a temporary solution.

It's a Letterman site, but if you click "see all," they have Craig videos posted. Wonder how long CBS will let it live?

I dont think CBS has a problem with it (otherwise they would have shut down these youtube videos a long while back).

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Yes, Alice Eve is hot, but the interview last night was pretty disjointed. Didn't realize that she was British, she did a good job with the accent in She's Out Of My League.
