^That was the worst dub EVER! I was trying to read his lips and I couldn't make out Kilborn, but after reading your post, that looked exactly like what he said.

Will Craig say anything about it on tomorrow night's monologue? I don't see how he can't at least make reference. I'm sure he could make it a big laugh tomorrow night.

He's been booked!

(It's on April 1st - hope it's not an April Fool's joke).

@ Carrie Fisher. I forget how in tune she is with Craig and how crazy she is when she's on. She needs to go on the regular's list too.

Well, as a reminder, the number one regular is on tonight...I still remember when I stumbled on a Kristen Bell interview about two years ago (when I only occasionally watched Craig) and sat there slightly amazed and amused!

Craig said something about it tonight when reading one of his tweets. he joked that it was to see how long it would take for him to notice, and then to quit.

Looks like Bell isn't on tonight for what ever reason

The guest lists for his show are often wrong. Hopefully she'll be on soon, but according to CBS.com, it won't be this week (tonight is Don Rickles and Sonya Wagner, and Friday is Carey Mulligan).

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

I wonder what he has planned for Friday with just Carey Mulligan as guest.
She's as cute as can be, but I've seen her on other shows and she isn't very chatty.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Anyone catch this crazy ass interview the other night? Helena Bonham Carter has really grown on me over the years.

I've always loved HBC ever since A Room With A View. Weird interview, there was about 5 minutes during the second part where I didn't understand a single thing either of them was talking about.

And almost equally zany was next night's interview with Jennifer Tilly. She's crazy, but I love her too.

I used to think HBC was ugly but one day it just hit me and suddenly I wanted her. Go figure...

Oh hell yeah! She comes on and Craig just lets her go. She literally keeps talking until the time is up. She goes way back on the show.

Per Craig's Twitter account, he has two new jingles for next week. I doubt they can top that one, though.

Also per Twitter re: Helena Bonham Carter: "Girl is batshit crazy. I loved her."

Tomorrow he'll have Stepehn Fry on for the whole hour and no audience. Charlie Rose style. Er, tonight, I guess?

That should be one hour of fun. If only they could get Hugh Laurie to pop on for a few minutes...

Or "Tom Snyder style," for those of us who have watched The Late Late Show from the beginning.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

I think the show is great! I'd love to see him do one show a week like this. Take the most interesting guest(s) of the week and do an hour or half-hour with them. He is such a good interviewer. He asks interesting questions and is able to keep it entertaining, all the while being engaging and interested in the guest. I can't think of anyone else like him. Maybe Tom Snyder back in the day.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

That was proof positive that Craig Ferguson is one of the freshest, most innovative and thoughtful hosts late night has ever had. Who else would dare do an all-puppets episode and then do this? Who else even could?

Also, I don't mind confessing that I got a bit emotional when Craig quoted Tom Snyder in the intro segment. It's been a long time since I was last told to "fire up the color-tinis."

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

What a lovely show - I could have watched another hour easily. I hope he does more shows like this from time to time. Stephen Fry makes it look easy, though; there aren't a whole lot of people who can hold court like that and be so interesting and entertaining. Eddie Izzard would be my candidate for the next one.

That was a nice touch. I also liked that Craig provided Stephen with a snake mug.

Re: The Craig Ferguson Appreciation Thread

Yeah I'm only a few minutes in and I'm loving this. A huge part of this is my love for Fry, but it's also nice to see a toned down Craig not making "cheeky" jokes every 2 minutes.

For some reason i was bothered by distance of the chairs but I'm sure there were good reasons for this other than camera angles.
