Storm just performed and why is everyone using the Vegas trip as an excuse? Why would the band want a lead singer that can't recover a few days later to perform? Sounds pretty weak to me.

"I like spanking."
Touche, Storm.
I think the problem with Storm's song was that while it is possible to make a rock version of I will Survive, but then they added the extra constraint of it being an acoustic show and that didn't work. I could see what she was trying to do with it, more of a blues-rock type number, but that just doesn't translate well acoustically.
That said, I still think she was way better than Lukas.

Good:
Dilana - very melodic
Ryan - gritty
Toby - sang in the right key
Okay:
Zayra - sounded nice, but not right for Supernova
Loukas - vocally regressed a bit
Magni - almost forget how he sounded, unmemorable
Not good:
Patrice - she's going home tomorrow
Storm - perhaps she will survive tomorrow

Wow, you got me waaaay wrong there. Wasn't saying I didn't get your humor, jjust that Ryan is by far the best player not to win. That's all.

Can't believe they all liked Ryan's perfomance. In my book, that was just plain awful. But, at least he looked good for a change. I'll give him that much.
Glad at least Dave ate his words after Dilanna's performance - which was the best all night.
Storm - was good, mostly, but I agree with DVD Josh's statements. Really not a lot you can do with that song. I think Cake are the only band who've done something interesting with that tune.
Lukas - wasn't too bad. Liked it better than the original version.
Patrice - love ya, but we both know you aren't right for this band. Performance was not bad. That said, even though she is likely to go home tomorrow, Zayara deserves too more - as she really isn't right for this band. Her perfomance/song was alright, but she should have at least sung it in English, especially if she want's to be in this band, or prove that she does. At this stage in the game, it would be a bit of an insult to everyone else who goes home before her, if she gets kept around.

Usually I have a tendency to agree with the critiques but tonight I was on a completely different page than them.
Patrice was as horrendous as Storm and should have been smacked down just as hard as her.
Lukas and Ryan both screwed up really good songs in my opinion. And they get praised by the judges.
Zayra deserved much more credit than she was given. I somehow think that because the song was in Spanish that it didn't go off as well with the judges, but her vocals were superb tonight. If she did the same thing with proper unaccented English I'm sure she would've gotten a standing ovation.
Dillana was just average and she gets praised. Meh.

If this band were smart they would have Dilana front them. The thing about her is, you can listen on the radio and immediately know it's Supernova, even if you aren't familiar with the song. Everyone else on this show, aside from Lukas, and it's only because he growls, sound like any other performer I've ever heard.

I like Lukas and thought he did a nice job. Even sitting behind a guitar, he performs with just his face. Very nice work.
Zayra's performance demonstrates that she should be singing in spanish only. As for the song, it wasn't bad, she sounded nice, but it was like every other spanish song I've ever heard.
Storm. Bad. Just bad.
Dillana? I don't get the praise. This woman should only be singing old Janice Joplin songs. Please, no more!
Magni's cool.

it's obvious why zayra fought so hard for her original. at least, if she's smart enough to realize this: she's going home soon. VERY soon. she took this opportunity to show the world that she can actually sing, although she only sounds good when singing in Spanish. so now, maybe this helps her take off in that genre. she had to know that a spanish song is not what they are looking for.
Ryan's performance was good... but maybe i just think that because i like the song - and I love that drum part of the song. great camera view of Nate (i think his name is nate) on the drums at that part.
I don't know about Dilana. newsted said the arrangement of the song worked, but i don't think it did. at the end, a point when it's supposed to be introspective ("my boy was just like me"), she freaking BELTS out the line. that didn't work for me at all. the rest was just ok. and everytime she sings from now on, i can't help but think of her AWFUL song she wrote for supernova.
lukas is annoying me with his facial expressions. he does that too much. and he definitely was growling tonight. we know he has a voice now, like jason said.
toby was good (except for his navarro ass-kissing), patrice was merely ok, magni was good.
now on to storm... that really is a tough song to rock up, while also stripping it down (like someone said above). like said above, Cake did something interesting with the song, but they changed it to a kind of jazz-type tune. if it was a normal week, she could have added in some crazy guitar licks and whatnot. but it didn't work here (although i don't think it was a trainwreck like the band did). it did slip into disco. and i agree that vegas should not be an excuse. come on. one party?

Zayra - Sounded good for the first time, but I don't see how a Spanish ballad helps her standing in Supernova.
Magni - Vocally it was nice, although not memorable.
Patrice - I think she sounded good in the verse, weak in the chorus, and terrible doing the title line. The weird way she sang the "message in a bottle" line was just awful.
Lukas - I think Newstead is missing the point that the guttural voice Lukas does is part of his style, for better or worse. He acts like Lukas is screwing up every time he does that, but I think Lukas clearly enjoys singing in that raspy style. That said, I agree with the above comment that Lukas performs even when sittign down. He's dynamic, and I think it goes a long way in ironing out some of his other weaknesses.
Storm - Crap IMO. I'm honestly not a big fan of her singing anyway... she's like Taylor Dayne without soul... but paired with a poor song choice and an awful arrangement. The beginning part with the weirdly stuttered verse reminded me of a William Shatner song... "First... I was... afraid I was... petrified..."
Toby - I'm in the minority here, because I did not like this. He sang well, but he completely abandoned any 'rock' in his voice. Which makes me think his rock voice is 'fake'. I'm not saying he should have growled the song or anything, but at least sing in a style consistent with your other songs. He suddenly sounded like a pop singer here. You shouldn't let the songs shape you, you should make the songs your own.
Ryan - I liked this. It wasn't as good as Losing my Religion, but had the same intensity.
Dilana - I thought it was okay, but I wasn't feeling the same level of love as the others were. If anything, it felt like she was playing it safe, at least as much as Patrice was a few weeks ago when they zinged her for playing it safe. It was kind of boring IMO, while not really bad in any way. It just felt like "Oh here's Dilana in Stevie Nicks mode again doing a classic rock number from the 70s for the third week in a row."

Honestly, I think that Zayra saved Patrice tonight. She has such obvious hatred for Dave and Gilby that you can fee her anger through the TV. Unless they pull another two-fer, Zayra has to go. If that's her original stuff, it's not Supernova.
Magni coasted this week. Storm tried to but it just did not work out. They'll give her another chance if she hits the bottom three, but it's becoming apparent that she is more looks than talent.
Loukas erased his positive momentum. He will ALWAYS revert back to the "constricted voice", which is a shame, because for a moment, we all believe that he could sing.
DRG, you aren't in the minority about Toby, I thought it was pretty boring myself.
Just to point out that, once again, Gilby Clarke is a terrible guitarist. Solisbury Hill is a decently difficult song to play on guitar, and he didn't remotely play it right. Now he's not Reeves Gabriel, but come on man, give it a shot for once.
Ryan did what he could with a fairly inane song. That dude is intense.
I don't like Dilana, but she was decent tonight. My wife noted that she is looking prettier these days.
Here's my revised cutlist
Zayra
Patrice
Lukas
Storm
Toby
Ryan
Magni
Dilana
The reason for having Toby drop out before the final three is that I think that once originality starts to be a factor, he'll have some trouble standing out.

I still don't see the appeal of Lukas.
The guy is simply one of the worst singers I've ever heard.
I cringe in horror every time he performs.
