Seriously, who the fuck is Gilby Clarke anyway? Some loser who suckled from the teet of the dying carcass of what was once Guns n'Roses?? and seriously, how did Jason Newsted go from a band with extreme integrity to hanging out with Clarke and the quasi-retarded Tommy Lee? The boys of Metallica must be rolling over with laughter at their wayward base player...

This band is a joke. Nobody is going to buy their shit album, especially with any of the remaining singers. Ryan was the only one with any creativity, and now he is gone.

Piss on Supernova.

Actually I think Jeff Goldblum and Rufus Sewell had a baby together and Ryan was the result.

Quasi? He's full-on retarded. I think Pam Anderson dumped his sorry ass because he was even too stupid for her.

This project won't last more than a couple of months.

I think your double elimination is tonight, and it will be Storm and Ryan.
It looks like this year, there are 2 shows on the final week, instead of just 1 like last year. So they could still have 4 people perform on the Tuesday show, eliminate one to begin the wednesday show, then do a similar format on Wednesday like they did with last year's finale.

Wow! Not surpised Ryan is gone, at all. His performance tonight was easily THE WORST I've ever seen him do. Again, going too far overboard with the theatrics to the detriment of his performance, especially singing - which was even more surprisng after after being chastised for it last night. It was like he took everything that was wrong with his performance the night before - all smoke and mirrors - and multiplied it ten fold. There was even a point where the camera showed Gilby, a look of total disappointment on his face that said - "Oh great. Look at this asshole trying to climb the amps. Not cool. He's blowing it."

His "intenstity", as some call it, was overblown. He dropped lines, missed vocal cues, and sang, or more to the point screamed, off key. He had a great classic song, and the chance to really prove something - and yet, he completely botched and butchered it. It's his own fault he got the boot tonight - I just hope he one day realizes it.

His attitude at the end really showed his true colors. But you know what, best of luck to him. Maybe he'll have better luck in a different arena, but he certainly wasn't going to make it in this situation.

i agree that his performance tonight wasn't that amazing. a little over the top with jumping off the amp, and his vocals did suffer, but everyone was going over the top... and i still think storm was worse. and dialna chose a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiird song. i like the talking heads, but that was a bizarre choice.

Anyway, i just don't think Ryan's meant for this type of "arena rock".

i don't think his last comments were bad, or "showed his true colors". I think it showed confidence... but i will say that he should have said something along the lines of thanking them for the opportunity. he did wish them luck, though.

and as for a solo career, i already ordered his solo album earlier today. so that's one more sale for him.

When Ryan climbed up on the amp, that was the most awkward thing I have ever seen. He was so gingerly climbing up there, he was like an old person trying to not hurt himself. He did not look like a rock star at all. And I didn't need to see his plumber's crack not once, but twice.

I think what sealed his fate though was when he hit the drummer's cymbals. Drummers hate when singers do that shit. I was waiting for Tommy Lee to tell him that at theend: "Leave the drum kit alone!"

Most unintentionally funny line all night: "This week we are having a songwriting clinic, where Gilby Clarke will help you write a Supernova song!"

I am still waiting for them to have a "VD clinic" held by Tommy Lee.

Loved the "Fuck You" goodbye Ryan gave to Supernova.

At this point, I really want Dilana to win.... so that the remaining singers can actually have successful careers w/o being Supernova's bitch.

ha ha, jadzia, i agree, on both things. ryan looked waaaaaaaaaaaaay awkward climbing the amp, and that gilby thing had me cracking up.

dude, you've written so many great songs already! like "paradise city" and "welcome to the jungle"! wait, you weren't in the band then? ok, how about "november rain"? no, not then either? hmmm, you say you wrote "live and let die"? Sorry, gilby, i'm gonna have to call bullshit on that one. that was paul mccartney. oh, you once filled out a to-go order for ann wilson? well, i guess that counts...

You can call it confidence, but I'll call it being a bit pompus, which he's always been. He's always had this air of "I'm better than this or that person", when really, he wasn't. There was also that moment where he was clearly going to say something else, originally, but luckily stopped himself before he really stuck his foot in his mouth. I agree that he should have at least thanked them for the opportunity - but he didn't even have the good graces to do that.

But, at least now he's free to go pursue different, and better suited to him avenues.

who knows, he could have said more... those exchanges are edited pretty heavily - for example, the phil boot show.

Dumb move by Supernova. They really needed a good songwriter like Ryan to join them. I hope they realize one day just how crappy their songs are.

tonights episode was the most lopsided titanic blunder maybe ever in the history of pre-fab rock and roll. delana, the cow, should have been sent back to the troopship she came from, for her pathetic, dangerous, back-stabbing weasly biotch shytte.
and then she does the lamest performance, like EVER with psycho killer....and Ryan gets AXED!
I am not sure I can watch another episode, good luck with the sea hag leading the troops..super_Ars_nova_vita_briefus. of course this is the same guy that chose to have sex with his hand instead of pamela anderson, so is there really ANy shock????

I for one was glad to hear him kind of stick it to them. Based off the lyrics we have heard, they clearly need a songwriter because they are bad. I would never imagined this group playing songs where they back up the singer and slow enough for large audience clap-a-longs, that is so not the music I expected, I was hoping more of a progressive metal like Velvet Revolver. With underwhelming music and bad lyrics Ryan might be better off jump starting a solo career from here, he seems to be the darkest of the remainders.

Winning this may just slow down someone like Ryan's career now.

It was actually awkward to watch Ryan try to climb on the amps. Glad I wasn't the only one to be taken aback by it.

It's always been rumoured that Gilby was dumped from G'n'R for his lack of songwriting prowess, but I guess with this band, it's not a big deal. At least he doesn't start singing his name in the middle of a song.

Like it was going anywhere to begin with?

His last band, Stage, were signed to a major label and went absolutely nowhere, and it's not like his current solo career is burning up the charts.
No matter how good you may have thought he was, he was NEVER right for this band - and that's the one thing all you people who actually liked him can't seem to realize. You folks need to seperate the fact that just because someone may be good, doesn't mean they're the right person for the gig.

If anything losing was probably the best thing for him, and just being on the show got his career more attention than he's ever gotten before. You people should be happy, not angry.

rocketdog, i'd say the majority of the ryan supportes here realized some time ago that winning this thing would not be good for him.

Storm is so fake. But I do think she wants to get booted out. I'm pretty sure no one wants to sing that crap they are writing except for Loukis. He doesn't want to go back to Hooters. The rest have a career in music somewhat.
