Loved last night's episode. Much better than the pilot, IMO.

I love everything about this show. I love it so much that I want Steven Soderbergh to shoot new footage with Carlo Gugino and digitally insert it into Out of Sight over J.Lo.

Who was the "alumni" from '24' in this show?

On 24: Season 2 - Gary (the creepy guy who killed his wife, and had Kim as a babysitter) was one of the brothers (the "smart" one), and the Mountain Man dude (with the fallout shelter/cellar)that Kim was rescued by (from the famous mountain lion) was played by the "dumber" brother (Kevin Dillon).

I know what you mean by that, but I thought I should point out for those who are anal (like me), the actual pilot episode hasn't aired yet.

FWIW- This will be the latest in the USA network repurposing:
Fri, Oct 10 12:00 AM BLOWN AWAY
Tue, Oct 21 12:00 AM DUMB BUNNIES
Fri, Oct 24 12:00 AM THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
Fri, Oct 31 12:00 AM JUSTICE
So that you don't tune on the wrong day-
Keep in mind USA's "day" goes from 6am to 6am.

Also the fact that the hit men were from Detroit. Elmore Leonard is from Detroit and he often sets his stories there.

I am so loving this show!

Was it just me, or was he the doppleganger of Dennis Eckersley?

As much as I love Out of Sight, Karen Sisco looks like it going to be even stronger. Episode two was stronger than episode one and it looks like the show is about to start firing on all thrusters. Hope ABC treats the show better than Miracles.

Karen Sisco 10/15/03

This is mainly a reminder that tonight's episode is the well-received "pilot" that got the buzz on this show going from the start of the fall season.

You know... if I ever decide to stop watching this show, it's because I'm tired of hearing that "coolest show" thing.

Of course, since I've been in love with Gugino since the "walking-to-the-SUV-wearing-the-black-leather-outfit" in Spy Kids 1, I don't see that happening. *sigh*

Cool - I haven't watched last week's episode yet, so I should have no problem watching tonight's episode.

Can't say for sure, but the episode they did start off with was a good way to introduce the show, especially since it was based on a Leonard short story.

The previews for this ep make it look a little more 'serious' in tone than the first two we've seen (of course, I could be totally wrong), and maybe the network assumed viewers would be more likely to latch onto the lighter style first?

This is definitely the best ep so far, plus it is more serious. Love the music - particularly Mazzy Star.

I too liked this episode. IMO, this one would have been perfect to start the series out with. Not sure why they chose not to?

I was wondering that a minute ago myself. It was the best one so far.

8 posts and NO ONE mentioned Kelly from The Amazing Race 4 as the stewardess right at the beginning?!?!? Is that a step up from Priceline commercials?

Yeah, I noticed Kelly (TAR4) was the flight attendant on the plane at the start of the episode.

I enjoyed this episode, and damn if Carla Gugino isn't easy on the eyes, and tough as nails when she has to be.

The mood/tone of the episode was good, and you had to love the cat-n-mouse games Sisco was playing with the FBI (always getting there before them).

Is Jake Busey going to be back (in a secretarial capacity, of course)?

This episode actually takes place after the two episodes they've already shown. Marshal already has his boat in this episode, which he didn't have at the start.

Didja notice...

...that the show has featured 4 alumni from "24" in only two episodes?

...the return of Danny DeVito's character from last week (voice only)?

Oh yeah, both "George Mason" and "Nina Meyers" showed up (good thing they are married in real life, makes it convenient).

I noticed Kelly from TAR4 and I noticed that Marshall had the boat, too.

Forgot a "didja notice" (even though it's kinda obvious)...

...Peter Horton as Ray Nicholette (the Michaeal Keaton character from Out of Sight & Jackie Brown)
