Still digging the overall tone and vibe of this show (and tonight's episode). I like the way the dialogue reveals characters's stories (genuine or fabricated), and how the development of the case leads to different resolutions and outcomes. The writing and acting of this show are very engaging to me.
My sentiments exactly. I really hope ABC picks this up for the entire season. It's a great show all around.

My favorite part of the show, besides Carla, is Robert Forrester. He is so perfect for this role and does an amazing job every week, whether they give him just a little to do or a lot.

Yup, this is a really good show. I love the atmosphere, and the characters are all interesting.

It's Prez!!! (a little shout out to fans of The Wire.)

That whole plot reminded me of the guy that John Glover played on The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd who always claimed to be her cousin, was remembered by everybody in her family, but she didn't know from Adam

Nice to see Sarah Brown again.

Where is the love for this show?

I liked the starcrossed lovers subplot, and also the Marlins pitcher subplot (the "taking one for the team" angle by her father was amusing enough).

The wacky characters that float in and out of Karen's life due to her job makes for fun viewing most of the time. Not everyone who's in jail is a bad person, and when they break out, it's not always for malicious intent. Other forces in the universe can drive people to do funny things, and the fine line between love and insanity is crossed, with wild abandon at times.

Right Here! Karen Sisco, along with Joan of Arcada (two very different shows, I know) are the only two new shows of the season that I'm still excited about after several episodes. Every episode of Sisco's been a lot of fun so far- and is it just me, or is Karen Sisco currently the sexiest character on TV?

Here, here as well. Probably my favorite new show this season (well, right after Las Vegas)

Easily.

I liked last night's ep, too. Her father was cracking me when he told her to take one for the team w/ his friend on the beach.

The love storyline seemed so cheesy at first, but I thought they played it out superbly. I thought the guy who played Derwood did a great job, and his performance made it more believable. And Karen, well...nuff said.

I want her to meet me at a hotel room w/ just a white trenchcoat on.

Good episode. It was sad the dude died at the end.

I second on the comment about wanting Karen to put handcuffs on him... I can just see a future episode where Karen busted a group of guys but only have one handcuff, then she asked 'which one of you want to be handcuffed?' And all the guys yelled 'handcuff me!'

Good episode.

Her relationship with her father is the best part of the show.

I loved the scene with the two of them on the beach.

I wish I could have seen it . I TiVOed it, not knowing that my local ABC affiliate (WTVD 11), had decided that since the CBS affiliate used their digital channel as a "Newschannel", that they needed to follow suit (the old local news trick...have to do everything the other guy does). So instead of Karen Sisco, I have a 5 minute news brief followed by 55 minutes of Doppler. Nevermind the fact that their other digital channel already has the Doppler 24 hours a day...we need TWO channels of Doppler! So now no more digital broadcasts for me on ABC...Right now I really want to drive over there and go postal

Was Durwood's friend the older brother on "Blossom"? Not Joey Lawrence, but I think he was the older brother and he worked on an ambulance or something. I've been racking my brain since I recognized him from somewhere, and I think that is him. Can anyone confirm this?

ABC needs to wake up and get behind this show. It's very Rockford-ish, and that's a vibe that's been missing for too long from network TV.

Finally watched it last night (I record it on my replay and usually watch it Thursday or Friday). Another solid ep! I absolutely love this show. I think I can declare it my favorite of the season. It wasn't as exciting as previous, but was still a very fun episode. Was also nice to see an (even more) sexier side of Karen than we normally see.

Good stuff

Another great episode. I recognized Tony from Blossom right away. I don't think that says very much for me...

Anyway, was Durwood really dead? Why did Karen throw the rock at his casket and then smile? I thought that because it echoed, it meant that she figured that he escaped there somehow. I was expecting him to show up with his "wife" at the end of the show. I guess that I was way off...

Karen Sisco 11/12/03

Well, this episode got dark in spots, but overall a good episode, enjoyed the Marshall Sisco subplot and how he turned the tables on the woman who hired him to take blackmail photos of situations she created. I don't blame the female cop for hitting on Karen... (IIRC, the female cop played Nikki on the Drew Carey show a few season ago).

Did it seem like we got shortchanged a few minutes? That dreck that runs before it ran @ 3 minutes over and Karen Sisco ended pretty much on time.

A good episode. Nice to see Isabella Hoffman again.

Yes, Bachelor Bob ran over by a bit, but we did get the normal opening credits montage, so we got shorted a few minutes of episode.

Loved how Karen milked that guy in the poker hand and convinced him she had the full house (because her father told her that he usually overplays his hands).

I think that's the cutest smile she's shown on the show so far, which is really saying something.

Everytime I watch this show, I fall a little further for Carla Gugino.

I was surpised to see an "Andy Richter" alum in this episode as well. I still want to see more of the lesbian cop though (Kate Walsh) since she's out of work from "The Mind of a Married Man"

I was thinking the same thing.

Great episode last night. Marshall stole the whole thing when he turned the tables on his client, then he gave the $5 grand to the bum who needed dental work.

Carla Gugino looks great AND does an excellent job in every episode. Damn - I love watching this show.

Another good episode with some twists. I noticed that it is being pre-empted next week by The Bachelor season finale, and they didn't show any coming attractions. Will Karen Sisco return or am I reading too much into this?
