I can understand what they're doing and why, but the setup to the justification/reasoning for a reunification with Big is weak/rushed.
You knew it was coming, but the way they handled it was weak.
Here's a summary... goodbye NY, let's spend time with that, hello Paris, more time, I'm with Russian, more time, oh nevermind, back to Big, series over...
Just doesn't seem to mesh.

No the series finale is not on tonight.
This show has been a constant companion for the last 6 years or so, and I am going to miss it.
I thought last week's show felt more real - The fight between Carrie and Miranda really seemed real - everybody has got friends who can't or won't accept change, you just have to work through it or find new friends.

Next Sunday I believe.
I was underwhelmed by the show.
His name is Freddy, and it was supposed to be revealed this season, but I can't remember it is was or not.

Funny how when Carrie was telling Miranda that she missed new york because....
I (and probably everyone) thought she was going to say 'I miss my job, my own apartment, my friends, my routine and my life!' she says she misses a guy!
Very atypical of the show.
BTW, anyone think its odd that she up and leaves a friend who one week ago she was worried was going to die from breast cancer mid-way through her treatments?

I caught it last night. I enjoyed sammantha's speech the best. The ending looks real predictable right now. I will be suprised if it doesn't end with Carrie going back to new york with Big.

Sex And The City (Finale and Wrapup) 2/22/04
I liked the two 30 minute wrapup shows preceding the series finale. They must have have so many choice bits to include in these 2 wrapup shows. I got chills watching the cast and crew say their goodbyes.

Never really liked the show as the humor made me feel uneasy. I hope women really don't talk like that when they're in groups, but I somehow think they do.
Anyway...I am watching the last episode as I like to be a part of major TV events...and at least it isn't a reality show!!!!

While I haven't seen that many episodes, I have to admire the show for actually trying to give a little heart to its final episode. I guess the outcome is that all of the girls have now found true love in some form or another, and will live happy lives even though they will not be the way they used to be in the past.
Also, was this the first time they ever revealed the name of Mr. Big?

Wasn't crazy about the 25 minutes of setup for the wrapup, but the lows make the highs worthwhile.
We finally find out that Big's first name is "John".
So the final scorecard reads:
Carrie and Big will give it a go.
Charlotte and Harry get a child from China in 6 months.
Miranda finally embraces family totally and is content.
Sam finally has a man that totally loves her.

Well that was terrific. I can't believe I actually teared up a bit at the end. (Not that they weren't trying) It was probably the best final episode of any show in the last 5 years or so. Fabulous all around! Kudos!

Loved the entire show... I didn't start watching this series until season 4 or 5 (whatever the new one was around the time Band of Brothers came out)... but I thought this was an outstanding way to wrap it up.
Also glad to see the new season of Six Feet Under isn't too far away.
Bring on The Sopranos!

My friend called me after the show and said "Well, it's good thing Charlotte didn't order soul food". It's o.k., my friend is black. And she laughed hysterically after she said it.

I thought the ending was a little too predictable, but heartfelt, nonetheless.

A great finale to a great show. Thank you, Sarah, Kim, Kristen and Cynthia for 6 wonderful years. My wife and I will miss you.

I thought Diane didn't look that great this ep., but it is also the only ep. I have seen all season, so maybe she always looked that way. While I know it was chemo that caused her to lose her hair, she looked too much like Sharon Stone, who looks and acts like a psycho bitch more oftehn than not.

i liked the wrap shows and it was nice how it ended
except the wrap shows were making me dizzy as no shots lasted more then 3 seconds.
my head was spinning.

As an extremely casual viewer of this show over the years (the wife LOVES it, I watched it once in a great while) I have to say I was very impressed with the finale. Normally I reject happily ever after wrapups as cliche', but this one was very, very well done.
Definitely one of the better finales I can remember in quite some time.
