Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

Fucking Amazon. Bought a $100 PSN code last month. No problem. Got it instantly. I buy a $100 Xbox code today and it's taking forever to fucking give me the code. I should start demanding a fucking discount when they keep me waiting.

Update: Called Amazon after an hour. Useless inbred fucking ****s! "It's a verification process. We can't do anything about it. Might be up to 4 hours." FUCK YOU! I spent almost $1500 this week, but a $100 digital code requires 4 hours to verify? BULLSHIT

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

There is probably a verification process. Probably some kind of automated batch out process.

I’ve seen reviews about numbers being stolen before. There are actually a lot of bad stories on Amazon reviews. I noticed them when buying my Nephew a birthday present.

Hope you’re okay broh.

So I bought a vinyl record on amazon. They sent me the wrong item (completely different record/band from what I had ordered). Now while there's an option for "wrong item was sent", and the end of the return process, it tells me to return the item I don't have. Besides that, how do they know I'm not lying and trying to get rid of something I don't want?

Bought Batman: The Animated Series BD Box set.

it's a freaking $100 box set and they send it in a bubble envelope. Granted I got lucky and only had a minor ding on the corner of the packaging, but putting an expensive set like that in a cheap bubble envelope is ridiculous.

Just received the remastered single disc of Metallica's ... And Justice For All (still no bass) and it was folded in half with the disc broken in two. The sent me a replacement and gave me a $5 credit for a future purchase. The funny thing is that they put it in the same box as my Bob Dylan Bootleg Series Vol 14 box set which is huge and heavy and it arrived fine.

Amazon takes pictures of every order they ship out to customers before getting packed. It's one of the rumored ways Amazon looks for scammers ordering from them.

I went through two damaged sets from Amazon. Both times they shipped the flimsy cardboard set in bubble mailers. Both arrived with creases and dented corners.

There are massive complaints all over social media about Amazon's shipping practices on Batman.

Don't know if you've ever bought a vinyl record from amazon, but they come pre-packaged in a cardboard mailer sleeve, and these sleeves have a sticker saying what's inside. So they would only have a "picture" of a brown cardboard sleeve. Now, my cardboard had the right sticker on it, denoting what I had ordered, the album inside, however, was not what I had ordered. It's actually happened once before to me, which means it happens more to others.

Return what you have. If they have "notes" in the return, write "incorrectly labeled".

Curious ... was it a "Fulfilled By Amazon" product from a third-party seller? If so, the seller probably repackages their vinyl to ensure Amazon staff doesn't damage it. So they place it in the brown sleeve. And then they added the wrong label to the sleeve.

If it were Amazon themselves selling it, they would have used the barcode on the product itself, and not ran into the problem of re-labeling it incorrectly.

This sort of thing also happens when people return merchandise, and Amazon incorrect labels the product when returning it to inventory.

Depending on the seller's volume, Amazon will take action against the seller if they do this too many times. Mis-labeling your FBA inventory is a big no-no. And Amazon doesn't not mess around when banning sellers with poor performance metrics. They will block and blacklist you and and it's over. But mind you that the seller might sell 1000 albums a day, and have a very tiny fail rate.

This further delves into being a mindful employee, and caring about your job. It's hard to get employees who care about their job. I can just picture some dumbasses working at a record store and handling vinyl without care.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

No, it was directly from amazon, and one item among 3 others (the others were correct). Barcode is on the sticker on the outer packaging, which is what was incorrect - barcode on the actual item couldn't be scanned because it's pre-packaged.

I will never understand Amazon's shipping practices for CDs. I've never had an order arrive that badly damaged, but it seems like every time I order multiple CDs from them they shove most of them into an oversized bubble envelope and cases are always cracked or totally broken by the time they get to me. It doesn't seem like my packaging feedback is working, so I'll continue to hold them accountable each time this happens.

While Amazon is the retailer of last resort at this point in 2018 for most CDs, the format is clearly an afterthought to their shipping warehouses.

Amazon would have saved millions if they had gone to a custom-designed, sturdy shipper for CDs years ago. It was their folly for using cheap bubble mailers and oversized boxes to ship them.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

Once again I'm being fucked out of AmazonGlobal Priority shipping because of marketplace sellers for no fucking reason. I placed an order on Amazon.de and some of the blu-rays were fulfilled by Amazon because Amazon wasn't selling them directly. The ones that are sold by Amazon display right on the page "Order within X and choose AmazonGlobal Priority..." but when you go to checkout with a mixed cart the only option is fucking standard. It's fucking bullshit. Amazon is shipping all the BDs. The whole fucking order should be able to be Global Priority.

Wow, I’m starting to wonder what your thoughts are on Universal blu-rays.

...and the stupid bitch who answered my first email claimed DVDs aren't on the list for AmazonGlobal, in spite of the fact they fucking are and the item page shows it. The checkout just fucks up because the marketplace items are incorrectly flagged. Fuckin bastards.

I would if people on fucking ebay would offer proper shipping options. I'm not ordering from assholes who only provide shitty "economy" shipping that can take like a month.

Did you try a site which accepts their tracking #? Pretty common carrier for EU countries.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

For the second time in the last month I have had shipments spend a day at the Amazon in house delivery facility instead of being delivered. My items arrived at the facility last night but for some reason never went out for delivery today. Chatted with Amazon and they said sometimes they have too much stuff to deliver, hey maybe hire some more people, not like they are hurting for money. Did get a $10 credit.

After recently getting a free Prime Trial which I still have weeks for it to be over, I just logged on and Amazon greeted me with a free trial extension message for another month. I guess it's because Amazon is going to kill for the holidays in sales and they want my business.

The "funny" thing is that I got a single bluray from Amazon about the same time and it came in a box.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

I placed an order for 11 CDs two days ago from amazon and they split the shipment into five different packages. They are out for delivery and I am just imagining all of the destroyed jewel cases I will be receiving.

Edit: all five bubble mailers arrived and only two destroyed jewel cases out of eleven.
