It's funny, because normally if a school were to suspend a student for standing up to bullying, conservatives would be screaming about political correctness run amuck, but when it's a black woman standing against racism and sexism, she's just as bad as her attackers.

If it's OK I'm going to ruin the flow of this thread by talking about the movie.
It was certainly entertaining and the F/X were top notch. McCarthy was the most subdued of the bunch with McKinnon stealing the show. Kristen Wiig is a local girl and in spite of our 14 year age difference is madly in love with me. Liked the cameos. Felt the sub-plots of Dana and Louis in the first one helped make things more interesting. A couple times I was thinking "they just did that" as they pulled out their blasters.

By that logic, people with handicaps also are privileged because they get special parking spaces, more goddamn courtesy, ramps and elevators just for them!
A friend of mine who has a handicap got a job working for Disney some years ago. They had to install ramps and elevators in their building so he could work there. What a privileged asshole, am I right? And he was born like that, he didn't have to work for that handicap at all!
Frequently I go to concerts with him. Did you know that venues have special sections designated for the handicapped, and they're really close to the stage? Those uber-privileged fucks! When I'm seeing Blur or Spoon or Spiritualized from 20 feet away with him, all I can think is how lucky he has it, that these perks make up so much for his debilitating physical ailment.

I am back, its definately been a humbling experience being away from this forum, and I have read everything in this thread while I have been suspended. I have followed the reviews from the likes of Alachia Queen and ComicBook Girl 19 on youtube and many others that pretty much confirm what I have thought all along, but I would never be a part of the attack of Leslie Jones on twitter. I simply refuse to watch this movie on the grounds of how Sony mishandled the making of this movie, and the way Paul Feig, Melissa McCarthy, and others attacked the fan base of the original movies.

So early week Box Office has been reasonably kind to this so far, it grossed $4.9m on Monday and $6.3m on Tuesday. (#1 Secret/Pets grossed $6.8m on Monday, $8.9m on Tuesday, #3 Finding Dory did $1.7m on Monday and $2.3m on Tuesday)

I'm curious to see how it holds with two new openers this weekend (though given some tracking Ice Age 5 could be a flop). Remember it's the summer so weekdays generally are kind to movies.

I would expect a huge drop. Lots of competition, and "word of mouth" probably isn't helping this flick until it hits Blu-ray/streaming.
