Don't care because it's going to be a damn good film... unlike AOU.

The DCEU (I think they're calling it) has put out exactly one movie and seems to be fumbling around blindly trying to figure out what it wants to be.

And we're talking about a comic book movie here. I'd like to think it should be pretty straightforward and the actor and director would be on the same page.

The problem has been clear since the beginning. DC and Warner want to make a film that matches The Avengers because they think it's going to turn them a big profit. The problem is that they wanted to get to that point instantly and not put much work into establishing their universe and characters. Everything feels like a jumbled mess trying to have Batman V Superman introduce so many things at one time.

Disney isn't raking in billions just because of The Avengers; it's The Avengers and everything around it.
It has to drive Warners/DC crazy because they own the best known superheroes in the world in Superman and Batman, and yet Disney/Marvel is able to franchise out b- and c-listers like Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy into huge successes. They're probably scared shitless that one of their Batman or Superman movies is going to get trounced by something like Dr. Strange or Black Panther.

I love how dark these new DC movies are looking. Makes a nice change from the tone Marvel usually go for, which I'm personally getting tired of now.

The problem to me is they don't want to work to establish their universe like Marvel did but rather seem hopeful to get a similar type of positive reaction like Marvel has gotten with the MCU on the basis of Batman V Superman setting up everything and springboarding them to greater success. Whether or not that actually happens is up in the air.

I don't mind they've a more serious tone. I just want as little as Goyer's hands in this and more actual creatively imaginative plots for the world they're creating. I am worried about how they've made Supes. I don't mind that MoS was a bit more dramatic than expected... the writing of that character was lacking so much depth. Supes had emotions but no soul to him cuz the writing sucked. Shit. I cared more for Jor-El than Supes. I'm iffy with what we've gotten so far from the trailers, always hopeful but I don't trust this world yet. Marvel at least hit it running... w/ a whole lot of varying quality between IM and the 4 films before Avengers. Phase 2 is pretty solid though. Taking chances. Always exciting.
So far... WB's plotting for this hints more at visual than conceptual. Terrio being put on makes me more comfortable w/ this cuz Goyer is all shit to writing. He's a good idea man but a horrible conceptualizer. If Affleck can influence this property more than Snyder and Goyer? I'm all for it.

BvS has been rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality.

Always wanted to know what happened to Buttman after Mallrats.

I did. I kind of can't help myself when there's a comic book movie coming out. Good or bad, I have to see for myself.
