There have been so many rumors surrounding this movie. 90% of them are fake. If she is in the movie, it's probably just going to be an easter egg kind of thing. I doubt she would have a major part in the movie, crowded as it already is.

Those are two pretty different things. John Blake revealing his real name is Robin was clearly a wink towards fans. If this film shows a tombstone with Richard Grayson on it then he by all intents is dead. If that is the case that's lame. I wouldn't mind so much if it were Jason Todd but I don't see the point in killing off a major character before the events of the first new Batman film. As for Carrie Kelly, with as much influence as The Dark Knight Returns seems to be having I honestly won't be surprised if she's there.

I don't mean, literally in the film. Sorry I should have said, "if she ever.."

Not sure how'd I feel about that. If we had Kelly out of DKR as a Robin. To a point, I'm fine w/ it but also I'm slightly not fond of it either. Would probably attract more female audiences if Bats did have a female Robin.

I misread the tombstone. I thought it was for Dick's father, but it is actually Dick himself.

If they do want a dead Robin in the DCCU, then Dick does actually make more sense than Jason. Nobody outside the comic nerd community has any clue who Jason Todd is. Jason was never in Bruce Timm's DCAU. Jason's one and only appearance outside comics was in the Under the Red Hood animated movie.

So if they want a dead Robin, it makes more sense for them to use a Robin the general audience will know. And that Robin is Dick Grayson.

I realize I've been overly critical in some respects towards this film but I think this is a pretty legitimate thing to not like as a fan of Batman and the characters in that universe.

Killing a character of that magnitude off-screen with no prior introduction to this universe is an insult.

Why is it a huge thing? It's an adaptation. It's not a big deal that he's an RIP type of guy. We've had so many versions that him being maggot food is just one of many.

Would you prefer it if it was a little truer to the norm of these characters? I'd be cool w/ that but I'm willing to jive w/ this too if it's a good film.
