Maybe I kind of liked this or tolerated it the first time but after a second viewing it was awful and maybe only two funny moments and boring.
2004 Naomi Watts was so f*&cking hot in this movie and Isla Fisher too in her short scene the only bright spots in this movie.
A talented cast with the exception of Mark Wahlberg wasted in this movie.

To Catch A Thief - I guess I'm watching the Hitchcock/Grant movies in reverse order.
I noticed this was on Paramount+ so gave it a watch tonight. Fun movie, a little bit of intrigue and a little comedy. Not much in the way of "thrills" until the end. Cary Grant is very charming and Grace Kelly is very pretty. The film looks gorgeous and I love the Mediterranean setting.

Cub (2014)
First time watching the film with subtitles
Shot well with a great premise but could've benefit from more character development and likeable characters.

The Day of the Beast (1995)
Previous to this, I was only familiar with previous work in The Last Circus (2010) & Witching & Bitching (2013), both of which I enjoyed.
This was a solid pitch-black Horror/Comedy which warns of religious fanaticism (amongst many other things).
Not for everyone but I enjoyed the wild ride.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins (2021) — Bland and forgettable martial-arts thriller that delves deeper into the character but outside of Henry Goulding who was good in the role, there's not much else to the film. The rest of the cast wasn't terribly charismatic and Samara Weaving talents is completely wasted in a small supporting role (shows up basically for the third act). I don't know, while the first two GI Joe films weren't very good, there were a few entertaining moments, this one I found pretty boring for the most part, worse yet, the fight scenes suffered from bad editing and poor lighting. **½/*****

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) - Watched this and still love it, and I've always loved Donald Sutherland and Brooke Adams. Then watched it with the commentary with some film scholar, which was great. Then watched it with Philip Kaufman's commentary, which was also great. I actually prefer this one to the original, which I think was from 1955 or 1956...And this one is way, way better than Abel Ferrara's, and he's one of my favorite filmmakers, but I though that movie sucked...

It was not great but not horrible either and had some good scenes though I never watched the Sopranos ahd maybe the people watched that show could pick up all the small details about the characters which I missed.
Vera Farmiga did look ridicolous with that fake prosthetic nose.

The ending WTF David Chase did it again

Maybe it should have ended when Gandolfinni in the snow driveway after his son left for L.A. and a touching scene when he shed a tear while watching TV and sucks he is no longer with us.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Finally opened this after 10 years
It was not bad and maybe better than all of the 3 movies that came after this though obviously not in the same league as T1 and T2.

Deep Red (1975) — Parts of this were pretty slow but the mystery elements were good and I liked the leads even though their romance was really forced and unnecessary (I know those scenes were removed in the Export Version, along with some of the gore). Dario Argento's visuals were on display once more with some great close-up shots and the gore effects were wonderfully gnarly. Not great but still found it entertaining. ***¾/*****

Old Universal Blu-ray
Written and Directed by M Night Shymalan
A family on a tropical vacation discovers that a hidden beach is causing them to age rapidly ...reducing their lives to a single day.
You have to accept this as a Fantasy rather than Science-Fiction; while a character may age in a day, their perceptions, and emotions and maturity evolve as well, which is unlikely, even if you buy the premise. Clearly, Night is writing to an emotional theme, rather than create a straight-forward SF story. There's a general feeling of unease throughout, and some genuinely grisly and effective scenes, but I found the characters (or perhaps the cast) bland or unlikeable, and the story is a bit restrained by targeting a PG-13 rating.

The Slumber Party Massacre Shout Factory
Directed by Amy Holden Jones
I'm not sure if this is a Comedy as the director claims in her commentary, or a suspense film that doesn't try very hard to build suspense. It does have a lot more personality than a lot of the lower-rung "Slashers" of the period. Jones describes the filmmaking as trying to hit the beats demanded by producer Roger Corman and getting the job done as quickly as possible. Entertaining, but just....

Kate - a shoot 'em up movie starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Someone said it's like 'John Wick' mixed with 'Crank' and that's fairly accurate.

Finally saw this and shows how enthusiastic I was to watch this.

It was ok but way too long just like every other Marvel movie but everybody complains about the length of the Godfather movies but nobody says anything about these 3 hr Marvel movies.

Netflix streaming
A indie comedy written and directed by Noel Welles.
I thought it was pretty good and a bonus topless scene if you are into that thing.
I wonder how she lasted for only season (Season 39 2013-2014) on SNL since she is talented and cute too.

The Raid 2 - this one has more plot than the first, and some bigger fights, too. The one in the kitchen at the end is awesome.

Skull: The Mask (2020)
Enjoyable when it focuses solely on its silly amount of death scenes. Heads explode, faces are cut off and people get stabbed with spinal cords.
It's severely dampened by a dumb plot anchored by a (badly written) police officer.

This film seemingly came out of nowhere and ended up being a pleasant surprise.
It has a few small issues but was an absolute blast to watch.

So I a little fun tonight. My roommate/landlord was throwing some party downstairs (mysteriously I wasn't invited), so I offered them a movie to watch. Spring Breakers. One of the main chicks was like, "Isn't that that Disney chick?" I was like, "Yeah, that's exactly who that is." Someone else was like, "Isn't that Franco?" I said "Yes." Keep in mind they are all Christian Fundamentists. But I went with it, knowing I'm probably going to have to leave this place at the end of December anyway. OMG, was it hilarious. The movie is the exact opposite of what they expected, but to me, their reaction was pure bliss. I enjoyed making them feel unfortable...It was awesome...I heard some screams...I heard several "Shut it OFF!"...Hahaha...Maybe don't fuck with me in the future...
