Stunning audio and video. But this cow hasn't given good milk since the first one and keeps making bazillions.

American Made 3/5. Would have been a 4/5 but the shaky cam ruined a lot of the entertainment value for me. A story we've seen in War Dogs and Lord Of War. This too was a true story or at least based on one. I do remember the ending from the news so they kept that true to the actual story.

Don't remember how I heard about this movie. I thought this was a straight up crime thriller but it was a horror movie. It was well done for a horror movie but I don't care for the genre. It was creepy and scary and the girl who laid there naked for the movie was a great corpse which is supposedly very difficult work.

Superman: Extended Cut (1978) — Still a good movie but I'll stick with the Director's Cut which is 30-minutes shorter. 3.0/5

The Tribe - 4/5
Ukrainian film about a young man who moves into a new boarding school for the deaf and finds out that the place is run by a gang of students that deal in violence, narcotics and prostitution. A very good, gritty and sometimes disturbing film with some great acting, direction and cinematography. Recommended for serious film buffs who have a lot of patience due to the fact that it is entirely in sign language and has no subtitles, so you must pay close attention to understand what's going on.

I streamed Spielberg on HBO GO yesterday and today. It's really long, but a great documentary. I don't watch many documentaries, but this is one of my all time favorites 4.75/5

Graduation - 4/5
A doctor wants his daughter to go to leave Romania, which he considers backwards, so that she can go to England and attend college at Cambridge. One day on her way to school, her father drops her off in a different area than he usually does because he is running late to visit his mistress, and she is sexually attacked. Another good film from the man who gave us the masterpiece 4 Months, 3 Weeks And 2 Days.

East Side Sushi
I loved this movie. I wasn't expecting much but I watched the trailer last year and saw it today in Amazon Prime video. The two main leads were good and even with the somewhat cliche ending, I'll recommended it. It will make you hungry for some sushi though.

I watched Office Christmas Party tonight. I laughed a few times, but it was pretty underwhelming considering the good cast they had assembled for this movie. 2.75/5

I watched Justice League vs Teen Titans this morning. I really enjoyed this one. I think it's my favorite of the DC animated movies that I have watched so far. 4/5

The Hidden (1987) — Great 1980s sci-fi that had shades of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Twin Peaks. Funny thing, apparently Michael Nouri turned the role of Riggs in Lethal Weapon. Although this is a good movie, can't think it was a wise career decision. 4.0/5

What We Become - 3.5/5
The world of a family residing in a Danish suburb falls apart when the military place the town under quarantine due to a mysterious plague that's transforming the residents into flesh-eating zombies. More of a collapse of society thriller like George Romero's The Crazies than straight up blood & guts walking dead. I liked the style of the film which of course reminded me of Romero and also John Carpenter. While not the most original film, it's still better than most films of its kind and well worth watching.

Batman vs. Two-Face (2017) — Enjoyed this a little more than Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders. Still is weird hearing a 50+ year old Burt Ward voicing a teen but otherwise has some great nostalgia with the jokes and merges nicely with the old villains (Joker, Penguin, Egghead, King Tut) and new (Two-Face, Hugo Strange). 3.5/5

Down (aka The Shaft) (2001) — Silly but fun, though at nearly two hours, the pacing could've been better. Also, especially towards the end, some pre-9/11 uncomfortable scenes. 3.0/5
