Re: The Expendables 3

Sly Stallone claims Wesley Snipes is 'officially' an Expendable

Sounds like he'd love to have Mel Gibson direct the third film, too

Re: The Expendables 3

Growing up I never really cared for Snipes. The only time I did care was for Blade 1 & 2.

Maybe they get Yu Nan back and the opening sequence is her bludgeoning Snipes to death, Irreversible style.

Re: The Expendables 3

Wesley needs the money that's for sure.

Personal life aside, I've liked most of Snipes work as an action star, including some of his cheeseball DTV releases. I think he's a perfect choice for the next movie.

I think Snipes would be great in this. And, like I've said before, Reb Brown as well. Perhaps even Brian Bosworth.

If they were really hardcore, they would have shot Snipes' scenes while he was still in prison!

Yup. For this one. Along with Clint Eastwood and Nicholas Cage.

Re: The Expendables 3

I never really liked Cynthia Rothrick. Her straight to video movies in the 90s like China O'Brien were cheesey as hell. Never found her really sexy or feminine.

The only movie with her that I sort of liked was Yes, Madam since she was paired with Michelle Yeoh.

Re: The Expendables 3

So Sly tweeted some director progress today:

4/18
Searching for a young lion to tear the screen apart with fresh vision!!... I think I know who is hungry and talented.... Fate at the Gate .

4/19
Meeting the New Director Tomorrow!!! Couldf be Fantastic.... Stay tuned.

4/19
It will be An Unknown to most of you... Like I was centuries ago , or so it seems, But still The Battle! ... Just In the Blood....

I also noticed lots of folks replying with John Hyams and even John Hyams retweeted those tweets recommending him for the job. haha

Well, I just looked on John Hyams twitter feed and he responded to someone saying that he has no meeting tomorrow. Bummer.

Re: The Expendables 3

Mel would be awesome...and he really doesn't have much of anything lined up...acting or directing. But, reading between the lines... Sly's meeting with a director they can afford, simple as that. But they really do need some additional intriguing personalities (like Snipes) to sell a third one imo.

Stallone also a tweeted a few days ago that Mel was not interested. In fact Stallone had said that it was originally a joke, but went ahead and asked anyway.

4/11

What about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES FIVE???

4/11

No , I was kiddiing about , but seriously , what about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES 3? Opinions anyone ? Curious.....

4/14

Mel is a MAGNIFICENT director! Pure passion on every level . we'd be blessed to have him.. A REAL long shot, but LIFE is a long shot -right?

4/18

Sorry, tried hard, Mel's living his own life....
