Re: The Expendables 3

I don't get Norris...he made HOW many R-Rated movies in his career? Even his most recent one before EXPENDABLES 2 (THE CUTTER) was Rated R. I'm guessing he had an unhappy shoot and it just using the rating thing as an excuse.

Re: The Expendables 3

I think the ratings thing was BS to begin with. Was he ever truly quoted as having demanded the rating be changed? Or was this a third party quote?

Re: The Expendables 3

Given his past filmography, I'd totally be down for this:

Mike left an idea for a new poll in the Comments section of the previous article and I liked his idea so here it goes in his words:

It has been said in many interviews by Van Damme, Avi Lerner and Stallone that they are contemplating bringing in Van Damme's twin for EX3, obviously it makes sense because he has played soooo many twins in his big movies (Double Impact, Maximum Risk) or clones (Replicant) or future/past versions of himself (Timecop, The Order, The Quest)... So it would be a nice tribute to JC since this franchise is all about paying homage to these legends past work...

Also, most critics and action fans say that he was the best part of EX2...

So my question is, would you rather have Claude Vilain be:

1-The even more evil and badass twin seeking to avenge his brother...

2-Have him be the Chad-Wagner-type character (from Double Impact) where he would be the cool, funny over the top nice guy who has always been trying to stop his bro from doing bad stuff so he feels like he owes Billy's death to Sly so he helps them by joining the team for the rest of the franchise and being the new member always fckin with Dolph...

3-Or you feel like he shouldnt be in EX3 so his EX2 performance is more memorable or he should simply make room for new action guys...

Re: The Expendables 3

Hmmm #2 would be a lot of fun, but I lean towards #3. #2 if they really play it up as a nod to the audience.

BTW EX 2 is at $177 Million worldwide after this weekend.

Re: The Expendables 3

I like option #2.

But how about an option #4 where he's the cool, funny over the top polite guy who is even more evil and badass twin who doesn't give a damn about his twin brother?

I can dig w/ #4

Talking about EX3. How about they leave the color palette alone and just let it look as it does? I'm tired of seeing these guys in odd color toned films.

I like option 5. Van Damme plays quadruplets who haul around their dead brother, Weekend at Bernie's style, exacting revenge.

I'd like the colour palette to be akin to Commando or the daytime scenes of The Lost Boys.

I just want to see the natural color of the world they're filming. All that grey they put into the whole film is just drab.

Color palettes? Did I wander into a crafting thread? Jesus, are we going to critique make-up next?

Again, look at The Lost Boys and Commando. Both were colourful and natural looking.

I'm cool with the grainy picture but the colour palette deserves and 80's natural style.

No. Wall paintings.

What do you think of all the movies that come out with that teal, greenish look that is about in every Hollywood movie?

Re: The Expendables 3

Van Damme coming back as a twin? Hmm that does make sense since he's played many twins before in his movies. I'm kinda iffy if he should come back as a good guy...but it would be cool regardless. It would be totally more awesome if his twin was a bad guy and surprises Stallone in the movie.

Maybe he could start out good and then halfway through the film reveals himself to be some supreme badass badguy?

Well in those films it actually fits in tone whether we like it or not. This film wouldn't make sense w/ it. Also....I think we have to worry about blue and orange more than FUCKING teal. Please. Teal's a bitch compared to the blue and orange scheme we got.

1st time I did this. I rented from REDBOX that HOOVER movie with Leo DiCripio.
As soon as I see that it's film in teal I shut the movie off.
I've had it with that look in movies.

Re: The Expendables 3

I say put Van Damme in the "female" Expendables movie and have it set up as a prequel to Ex2. You can even sneak in another guy on the cast to lend some star-power to the film.

Re: The Expendables 3

Hulk Hogan was talking to Howard Stern. Said he'd like to be in Expendables 3. I'd be game for that. He'd fit in rather well.
