Or do what they did in SM2, tell his origin in the credit scenes. BTW, are they setting the groundwork for another take on the Green Goblin? ya know, SM has hundreds of other villians.

Well we have Gwen. We're being introduced to OsCorp immediately in this. I'd imagine GG would be coming up at some point.

Man, some of you are sure being harsh on a movie you have yet to see. Looks like fun to me but that's what the original Spidey book were...fun.

I will make my final decision once I it has been released and I have seen it. I was super gung ho for Spider-man 3 and look what happened. I am going into this one a little wary but hoping for a good time.

Yep. I wouldn't be at all surprised if ASM 2 ends up being an adaption of "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" and ASM 3 then introduces MJ.

If we actually got that story I'd be very surprised cuz that'd be a bold move.

For better for worse, Tobey Maguire will always be Spider-Man, not Eduardo.

I honestly dont see why people are so defensive over the last Spider-Man films. The Blade Trilogy shits all over it in terms of quality and that's not a compliment. There is nowhere to go but up, so i'm more than likely going to enjoy this.

Early in the movie instead of going to a wrestling match, Parker goes to a rodeo and wins easily since he can stick to the horse.

Superman looks at Spiderman with jeolously. Supes has faced off against Luthor in 4 of his last 5 films. He might even face Luthor in next summers film. Spidey's at least gone up against 5 other villians that weren't Norman before a potential Norman Goblin rematch

As a grown assed man, no, I would not say "wheeeee" or "yaaaaaay" or "yipeeeee" or any other stupid fucking 10 year old shit like that.

As a grown assed man, you don't like having fun anymore. Lets get back to working a break even analysis! Now that's fun!

^^ Yes, that is it. I don't like to have fun.

If they do that story, I would almost be willing to give the first one a free pass for sucking if the second one was that ballsy.

That's how you can tell she's faking it.

Ha ha, of course you wouldn't. Because you're hard-core.

if you want to bash this movie for being another origin story, or bash garfield's hair, or bash it once you've actually seen it, i have no issue with that.

But complaining because you "wouldn't say that", when you've never been (and WILL never be) put in that situation is absurd. Also considering everything in that clip is completely in line with the way Peter Parker has ALWAYS been portrayed.

That wasn't really my point. I was just making fun of the fact that a supposedly "grown ass man" thinks screaming "woo hoo" is childish and he would never do it and instead insists that a "grown ass man" should be swearing like a sailor to indicate that he is having fun.

And really if you are a "grown ass man" then why are you watching a comic book movie in the first place. Comic books are for kids, not "grown ass men"!!!

When I first went skydiving, I was definitely going "WHOOOO HELL YEAH" and looking straight down. So I for one would probably be doing the same thing as Peter in that situation. Guess that doesn't make me a "grown ass man", but for the HARDCORE CRED I can (and did) shave with a straight razor with my eyes closed...so maybe it evens out. :)

It's not a big deal, just some online discussion for the hell of it. I do think yelling woo-hoo is childish and I think it's cheesy when used in movies. I remember a lot of hate towards the line when Anakin used it during the pod race in Episode 1, and that was a 10 year old kid. Like I mentioned earlier, I think it's more likely that a high school student would say something like "Hell yeah!" or whatever. I'm all for Spidey being a light-hearted, wise-cracking kid, I'm just concerned about the film dwelling into cheeseball territory.

Either way it's just my opinion, not a big deal, and far from my biggest concerns about this movie. What I really find disconcerting is that I can't express my thoughts about that scene without being accused of being a soulless shell of a human being who hates fun and avoids roller coasters.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

The Anakin hate against the "yipee" cries was how horrid and out of place it sounded. But then that kid's delivery was terrible altogether.

I was just pointing out that his yelling "whoopeee" took me out of the moment. Jesus Titty Fucking Christ some of you are sensitive  I'm not trying to trash the movie.
I like Spiderman and Batman, etc... I also like kittens and roller coasters and ice cream.

Honestly that would be a great storyline to use for the sequel. I wonder if Sony and Webb actually have the balls to try something like that though.
