You should really try going to see the movie before you start underhandedly attacking the folks who did like this. I was of the same opinion you are now before I got talked into seeing it last night. I was really surprised by it; the ads and clips don't do it justice if you are willing to buy into the insanity of it all.

I agree that he's criminally underused.

If by sick you mean too thin, they I have to agree. But she's still beautiful. The girl does need to put at least 10 more pounds on.

She overlost after her last pregnency, it's pretty common these days (it seems) that the actresses go too far after putting on some weight.

I thought she looks a little too rail thin, but was pretty vibrant in the role.

Liked it but didn't love it. Far too predictable, the action scenes weren't as great as I had hoped (the gore was good) and the training sequence was annoying as hell...I wanted more assassination missions before the main story started up again... also, Jolie had nothing to do and felt like window dressing. Timur's use of dutch angles, incoherent action/editing from his previous films carried over to this in a big way, which didn't do anything for me. A decent B movie, but not the R-rated Action masterpiece I was hoping for... some decent lines but really disappointing overall, still, entertaining enough to justify a matinee - I just have higher hopes that Wanted 2 can avoid the mistakes that this one made (again and again). 3 out of 5.

I was just happy to finally see an R-rated action movie again - it's been too long.

I will say Jolie looked pretty anorexic in this.. but given her minimal screen time (I wouldn't call this a Jolie movie.. she had a significant role but this was a McAvoy vehicle IMO), it wasn't distracting. She does need to put some meat on them bones.

You know the thing I actually did like was the side characters and their codenames, like Repairman and Gunsmith. I thought that was pretty cool and wish it was expanded on.

I had a fun time. It's like someone threw The Matrix, Fight Club, Minority Report, and Shoot 'Em Up into a blender, threw it in the oven, and out came this. While I agree that it didn't redefine the action genre or have too many surprises, I laughed quite a bit, and felt the car chase and train sequences were fantastic. If anyone wanted any sort of realism from this movie, then well, you weren't going to get it.

I didn't understand the whole "fate" thing (I'm guessing it's explained in the comics?).

oh, and as far as the "Angelina looks too skinny" debate, at a certain age, women have to choose between their ass or their face (either having a nice, "full" face, but a bigger ass, or having a nice ass, and therefore thinner face).

that's one thing the Crow excelled at. Memorable villains with kick-ass names.

I loved every minute of it. I do agree that he was too much of a whiney baby at the beginning but overall this was a top notch action flick.

I loved Shoot'em Up, thought Crank was only okay at best, and I have to say that this was closer to Shoot'em Up than Crank. Didn't really like the ending, but most of the rest was good mindless violent fun. And while Angelina's face looked fantastic, she really was too thin.

I actually thought he did a great job in the role, and would definitely be interested in checking out some of his other work. But it's funny you should mention Shia (who I couldn't imagine in the role at all, physically). To me, James McAvoy actually sounded a lot like Shia in the movie. And, seriously, whenever he wasn't on-screen, but talking, I'd forget it was him and be like, "What? Shia's in this?" I'm not even joking.

Personally, I went to see this to watch some crazy action. I didn't expect anything resembling believability. If you buy into the premise and the world they inhabit, I think it's possible to have a really good time. This is one of the only movies this year where I actually felt like clapping at the end (although I didn't, while most of the audience did). It's stupid, irresponsible, unbelievable, highly improbable, littered with seriously questionable plotholes. But it is also really fun. And I could barely wipe the grin off my face during or after the movie. (It didn't hurt that I got to see The Dark Knight trailer again either.) It's not perfect, but I loved it. I'd probably put it as #3 on my list for the year, behind Iron Man and The Fall.

When my group left the theatre, I made this comment: "You know, the most unbelievable thing in that movie... When he put his name in the Google seach and got absolutely no results." Seriously. I don't buy that at all. You could put "The Hitler Merkin Review" in Google and still get SOMETHING, yet the name Wesley Gibson gets 0 results?! I think not.

I give the movie a solid B+.

Yeah, that's the point. That's how much of a nobody he is. Even Google gives him 0 results, even though any word on google should give millions of results.

Just like the ATM doesn't say "You're an Asshole" in real life (as it did to him) if you have insufficient funds.

How do you know that the Fraternity didn't have something to do with returning no results when "wesley gibson" is searched on?

I understand that the movie had to change the Super-heroes/villains from the comics, but I wish they would've kept the comic's sense of nihilism. Like how they kill people that "deserve" it and not for profit, which I thought was a massive cop-out. One of the funnest scenes in the comic was when he went around and killed people who gave him shit throughout his life, like old highschool teachers. Sure, it would've made him really unlikable, but that's sort of the point.

add another to the list who loved this movie. highly entertaining, mindless action flick.

when i go to the movies i want to be entertained for 2 hrs. if it takes crazy over the top action scenes or amazing story/amazing plot/amazing acting i dont care. wanted was the former...others are the latter. doesnt matter to me what it takes...i pay for entertainment and i got it.

I can understand though why they changed that particular aspect from the comics. All it would have done was to provide more fodder for either the excuses of or the reasons for more school shootings and similar events. A movie studio is going to cover its ass as much as possible, and I don't necessarily blame them in this case.

As it stands, he didn't do anything to help any of those poor people on the train who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They all fell to their deaths.

But there's a difference between passively letting innocent people die and actively killing people who may or may not deserve it, which is what the comics had them doing. Most big action movies (especially R-rated ones) have innocent people getting in the way of big shootouts and explosions. The only recent movie I can think of that showed almost no one getting hurt around so much ridiculous destruction was Transformers (which was rated PG-13).

I agree with this whole paragraph, but totally agree with the bold part.

One thing people have mentioned where the movie fell short was a lack of more 'trial' assassinations by Wesley before tackling the big dog. I totally agree. He comes in, kills a couple guys... now, here kill the one assassin that's better than every other assassin out there. Come on. A little too much time spent on the 'Rocky' training montage when they could have gotten a couple more jobs under his belt.
