You're kidding, right? That's the dumbest thing I've heard in quite a while. Maybe it was right after her alien abduction, too?

FOr those of you who hate on the movie for one particular scene that was just "too much" (see Circling Bullet), here's the conversation I had w/ my friend after opening night:

Me: Damn, that was badass.
Kenny: haha, ya, man. badass. But, you know, that bullet circling in the end was TOO unbelievable.
Me: what do you mean? Like the rest of the movie was so believable?
Kenny: yah, but this was just too much -- shouldn't the bullet be gradually getting lower as it circles, due to gravity? But it hits Angelina Jolie right in the head where it hit everyone else.
Me: OK, c'mon, how is that any more unbelievable than the rest of the movie?
Kenny: ok ok you're right....ok, the absolutely MOST UNBELEIVABLE part was when the bullet when through the damn donut at the end! His boss' donut!! That was just too much. Hahahahaha...

Finally saw it, and loved it! Great acting (Morgan Freeman ), awesome stunts and a very respectable plot. I enjoyed it. I know there are parts that are unbelievable, but there are movies that are much, MUCH worse.

You guys need to remember that Jolie filmed this right after her mother died of a 7 year battle with cancer. Jolie said in various interviews that her weight loss was the result of mourning for her mother's death, and that Brad Pitt encouraged her to do this film to get out of her depression.

Why am I not surprised this is being turned into a video game?

Cry me a fucking river. that's probably why she adopted that one last kid before Brad pumped her pregnant. The movie still sucked regardless.

Finally got around to checking this out...very enjoyable. Funny to read this thread from the beginning as when the trailer first came out, everyone complained about how horrible this would be. Then all the reviews once it was actually released have been positive for the most part.

I just saw this last night and have to say I loved every last over-the-top minute of it! It was everything Shoot 'Em Up should have been.

I just saw this recently as well. I had absolutely no urge to but a friend of mine kept nagging me to check it out and since I'm a "bored holiday bastard" at that moment, I did.

I loved it, every stupid second of it. One of the best endings I've seen in a movie in a long time.

Spoiler:
What the fuck have you done lately?

Fun, but extraordinarily stupid as well. Any movie that starts off with the phrase, "One thousand years ago, a secret society of weavers...." probably isn't going to be fantastic, though. Jolie looked great and McAvoy was quite good, tho.

I knew going in but still surprised by how LITTLE this resembled the comic. Maybe 1 1/2 issues' worth of material of the 6 issue series, the rest pretty much invented wholesale.
