I didn't mind the bullet curving, let alone circling since... well if a bullet is already curving, naturally it'll go all the way around in a circle
But yeah, I can't believe so many people are giving the main plot "device" a pass. I mentioned it a couple pages ago after I saw it but for some reason I haven't really seen many people else commenting on it. Seriously, that's probably one of the worst plot devices i've ever seen in a movie, especially one that's trying to take itself somewhat seriously with the story and set up.

It was a steaming pile of crap. The circling bullet towards the end....the wax thing, how about the train scene? There is suspending belief, and then there is being retarded....this movie encompassed the latter.

I loved it and I agree about the poster that said it had a good story. The movie is pretty deep and dark for a summer flick. Just wondering what action movie you consider to have a good story since you tell him to watch better action movies.
I also liked The Fraternity's bizarre ways of treating their wounds and the way they're assigned the hits. Creative stuff!

I didn't care for the Threads of Fate stuff, but it didn't bother me as much as I guess it normally would. Everything in the movie is so outlandish, anything less outlandish may of not fit.
Writer probably played a lot of Loom back in the day.

I really liked this movie, it exceeded my expectations. And honestly folks, for those of you disappointed did you even watch the trailers? The trailers show them curving bullets in the air...if you can get past that the rest of the movie is just more of the same.
Very, very enjoyable popcorn faire.

Extremely fun movie. I even took my 55 year old (female) co-worker to an afternoon show (with plenty of disclaimers up front, I might add), and we had a hell of a time. She kept saying 'wow, that was a really good movie!'
I thought it was a blast, I can't wait for it on Blu-Ray now. Defied my expectations, and left plenty of twists out of the trailers. Great summer fun, and that's what I wanted.
Now, I'm off to get dragged to "Hancock," I can't believe I'm putting money into this piece of garbage. (What we do for a mate!)
Cheers.

How much of the action scenes are in slow motion?
I was bored to death with 300 because of the constant slow motion action scenes which were boring to watch. In fact, I started to find the movie funny and not 'cool'.
I'm also not a fan of The Matrix and was bored with that film and the sequels, with the slow motion not impressing me either.

I absolutely cannot stand the action scenes in The Matrix, and think Wanted is pure uncut awesomeness. There are some slow motion scenes but they don't go on forever and ever so didn't bother me at all. There was a sense of insane fun about it that I really enjoyed and made this one really stand out to me. I think your ability or inclination to embrace the insanity would probably dictate if you would like it or not, not so much your thoughts on slow mo action.
Of course, that is just a guess.

I really loved the soundtrack (can't wait to get the CD) and the final shootout was all kinds of badass. Too bad the rest of the film was a steaming pile of crap.
It's like watching Equilibrium except it's all setup with only a small fragment of action. Worse is the fact that its best aspects (the narration, main character's cynical sense of humour, and action) are taken from much better films (Fight Club, American Psycho, and the aforementioned Equilibrium respectively - the last being derrivative as well but in a good way).
I cannot believe so many of my friends recommended this trash to me.

Well, I'm actually interested in seeing this now. I thought the trailers looked kind of dumb, but from the comments here, and the positive scores at Rotten Tomatoes, maybe I should check it out.

It also has a little bit of Golgo 13 in there.

Overall... I give this film a Grade: Meh.

I enjoyed it for exactly what it was - action eye candy. Good theater experience flick with all the action and a good soundtrack too. Fortunately, it didn't get too Matrixy, which I couldn't stand.
Well said.

Saw it this w/e, enjoyed it. Not the best movie ever but was certainly fun.
Surprised how little Angelina was in it/about her character. Kinda expected it to be about the other guy (which it was) but for her character to monopolize the movie and I never really got that feeling.
I give it a B.

That's different and kinda cool, but way too busy for my tastes. I much prefer the teaser which I just got in the mail yesterday.
