He didn't need more training . He just needed to be able to do it. It would have been possible right after the first one, but then that wouldnt be much of a movie.

One thing people have mentioned where the movie fell short was a lack of more 'trial' assassinations by Wesley before tackling the big dog. I totally agree. He comes in, kills a couple guys... now, here kill the one assassin that's better than every other assassin out there. Come on. A little too much time spent on the 'Rocky' training montage when they could have gotten a couple more jobs under his belt.

what a great, over-the-top, released at the perfect time action flick. i really enjoyed every thing about this movie and wasn't bored for a second. fun as hell and action scenes that have never been done before. a benchmark for all others to come in this genre if you ask me. a hellava good time just had. and after getting the "24" deal, it was a pretty good day.
2 questions...why did
i was really hoping they would both do the sequel.
2 questions...why did

Didn't really worry too much about it as it was fun regardless. My only real complaint with the film so far has been some digital blurring in a few scenes, I guess to get all the effects done under budget (cut a few corners).

I don't think there was any reason
Saw it again today and loved it just as much. What a big fun adrenaline rush this one is. It has been a hell of a Summer so far at the movies, and on paper it didnt look that good to me.

If The Matrix fucked Locked, Stocked, and Two Smoking Barrels, married a comic book writer, and they had an abortion because it cheated with some guy from the Steven Segal School of Acting.....WANTED would be what is left.
It was a steaming pile of crap. The circling bullet towards the end....the wax thing, how about the train scene? There is suspending belief, and then there is being retarded....this movie encompassed the latter.

Um.... comic book movie? The bullet circling is in keeping with the basic premise of physics for the film (which granted is ridiculous) and the idea of curving bullets was in EVERY trailer I saw for the film. The wax is different from any miracle cure in any movie; how? I guess I just fail to see how anything you've brought up so far made the movie "retarded" or a "Steaming pile of crap." The action scenes were decent, it had more of a plot than ANY other action movie I've seen this year, and the acting was quite good, IMO.

This movie was AWESOME. The first hour or so dragged for me and it was kind of confusing and boring, but the last hour got better and the last half hour were one of the best I've ever experienced in a movie. This was the opposite of I Am Legend where the whole movie rocked and then the ending sucked. I'm willing to put up with one hour of boring exposition if it means two or three flicks that mimmick the last hour of this one.

No action in the first hour? Did you miss the rooftop scene with the half dozen assassin's that were taken out? What about the pharmacy shootout followed by a 10 minute car/chase shootout? Which of course leads to the training which had some action bits.
Now, while I enjoyed I am Legend, it is quite a different film. It is more of a drama with all exposition. It was a slow build and little to no action until the last 20 minutes. I don't see how anyone could compare the two films. They couldn't be any more different.

It was decent and mindless fun, but I'm glad it was free.
The storyline, acting, and action scenes are all ok, but not stellar. So I can't imagine wanting to watch it again. If I want a diverting action-fest there are much better movies to re-watch.
Still, I'm glad I saw it in the theater, fun movie. But forgettable.

Other than seeing a bad drawing of McAvoy and Angelina on a Wanted posted very briefly, I don't understand why this movie was called "Wanted."
There was nothing to imply that the fraternity was Wanted fugitives and I don't think I saw a single police officer or law enforcement agency try to stop them.

I did think the flip and shooting inside the limo was cool.
