Totally agree. This was just a roller coaster ride of action. They never really delved deeply enough into the why's and wherefore's of the "special" powers but to do that would have slowed down the action and they obviously wanted it non-stop. It also reminded me a bit of Replacement Killers in the really high body count, higher bullet count, and over the top shoot outs and action sequences.

I loved it! It was insanely entertaining. There were some things in the movie they had no business pulling off, but they did it and made it look easy. Loved it, want to see it again, want the Blu Ray and I haven't even upgraded yet. A+++ from me.

Is this movie extremely violent and vulgar? I may take my dad to see it. He can't do anything over-the-top brutal violence..

This movie is awesome! From start to end, it was definitely a roller coaster for me. Angelina Jolie was very entertaining on the screen, and the action sequences are just plain great! Definitely going to pick this up on disc at some point as well.

Within the first few minutes of the movie you see multiple
Spoiler:
people shot through the head. No cut aways. Blood splatter and all. In the same scene one guy gets shot through the back of the skull and as the bullet flies out the front, it freezes and you get to see it in reverse slo-mo.

So yes. Very violent and very vulgar.

Yes it is. Though I've enjoyed that movie since it first came out.

Wow! I'm surprised that so many of you loved this movie. I didn't hate it, but I think they could have casted a better lead and touched up the script a little better. I do agree that Freeman was a good addition and his final line was pretty funny.

I actually preferred Shoot 'Em Up to this. I thought Clive Owen was a better leading and IMO, Monica Bellucci is 10 times hotter than Angelina. I actually loved how wacky and zany it was and looked at it as more of a parody of the action genre.

Loved it... Its what an action movie should be, over the top, fun, violent. So far, this summer has been a pretty damn fun one, and I thought I would be a bit disappointed this year, and still have the Dark Knight to go!!!

I agree, all the positive reviews here had me feeling good going into the movie and I came away feeling underwhelmed. The action was fantastic and perfectly over the top without being too ridiculous and unbelievable (like Shoot Em Up, which i thought was poor) but the rest of the movie tried too hard to be deep and Matrix like that it felt really flat. I think the movie pretty much lost me plot wise with the reveal that...

Spoiler:
a freakin loom decided who to kill without any explanation other then fate.

Everything that followed afterwards plot wise was fairly weak and didn't seem to have been built up to as great a climax as I hoped. I dug the action, dug the gunplay, but the lead guy didn't seem right for the part, Angelina's arms looked skeletal (but nice everything else!) and Morgan Freeman didn't seem to have enough to do.

I didn't hate it, but this would be a pass for me. I had more fun with Hulk, and honestly I enjoyed this less then Jumper. I should have saw Wall-E.

Everything you said is exactly how I felt about the movie. Totally agree about Angelina, McAvoy and Freeman.

I saw Wanted today for a 4:20 showing and it was nearly a packed house. The movie is over-the-top for sure, but it was alot of fun. The crowd was certainly into it. Looks like Universal has a new franchise on their hands and James McAvoy has now become the newest action star.

I very much like the idea of someone who has great acting talent (McAvoy) being the lead in an action film. I'll take him over some shitty B-actor like Jason Statham any day of the week.

I concur. I like James McAvoy enough to see anything he's in.

I dug it.

I enjoyed it a lot more than Night Watch and Day Watch and it was cool to see Konstantin Khabensky have a brief role.

I wish the ending was more fulfilling and more action packed, but it's definitely one of the better blockbusters to have been released this summer.

It's no Shoot Em Up, an unappreciated cult classic waiting to happen directed by an even more unappreciated director; but it's a lot better than Crank.

For me, it's no Crank, but at least it wasn't as bad as Shoot Em Up.

this looks absolutely terrible. i'm so tired of action movies relying on outdoing the last one with ridiculously retarded "stunts" and slow motion bullshit. They don't care about plots or characters anymore, and it's sad. completely fucking stupid.

but i'm sure the masses will go out in droves because ZOMGBBQ!!!!!!!!!! JOLIE IS HAWT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it how we're all indifferent on this forum about Shoot Em Up and Crank.

It's like a battle of the ages.

Suggestion: Why don't you fucking see the film before you pass judgement on it and everyone here.

Just in from seeing this, underwhelmed, totally meh ,the best part was the Viper part. Aside from that it seemed to drag on a lot, the initiation took forever, and then he had what one assassination before the big one?

Angelina way too skinny.

Freeman hardly in it, and the shoot the motherfucker line was just him playing Sam Jackson..

And is there a film where Common has lived through to the end yet? I quite enjoy him, and again he was underused in this.

but then i'd be giving my money to yet another retarded brain dead comic book adaptation and thus encourage more of them. I've seen the trailer and clips. that's plenty. wake me when they make a movie made for anyone not a 13 year old boy compensating for the late onset of puberty.

I enjoyed this, easily better than Shoot 'em Up (more fulfilling, less groan enducing one liners (which was admittingly part of the fun)). I don't get the Crank comparisons, Crank simply wasn't in the same league as either.

There are plenty of them, try watching 'em and go to those threads instead of shitting on a movie you haven't seen. Your posts are coming off like they were written by the late blooming 13 year old boys you're criticizing.
