Here's what it says.


On behalf of everyone at Scream Factory & Shout! Factory, we want to thank everyone who has purchased the Friday the 13th Blu-ray Collection (Deluxe Edition). We hope you are enjoying it. A lot of hard work went into it from many contributors and fans—us included. We think Jason would be pleased (for once!).

Unfortunately, there were some unintended mistakes in our process due to human error, for which we accept responsibility, and we extend to you our genuine apologies. We plan to correct those errors by offering replacements for three discs: Friday the 13th Part 3, Jason Goes to Hell (Uncut version) and Jason X.

How to request replacement discs:

If you would like to sign up to receive the three corrected discs at no cost to you, please go www.discshipment.com and follow the instructions on the form. Replacement disc fulfillment will be handled by a third party. If you have any questions about the status of your replacement disc shipment once you have completed the form, please email: [email protected]. Shout! Factory customer service will not have any info on the status of your replacement disc order.

• When filling out your form, please enter “Friday the 13th” in the “What Title Do You Need Replaced” section.
• When filling out your form, you will need to upload a copy of your proof of purchase (photo or scan of receipt or digital receipt from online retailer).

Discs are expected to be shipped out in November 2020.

Corrected discs will be marked with “R1” on them. They will be shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer and each disc will be placed in individual sleeves to protect them further in transit.

Discs will be sent out globally to those wishing to redeem.

Affected Discs:

• PART 3 (When viewing in 3D) – First instance of 3D opening credits does not come out of the screen correctly.
• PART 9: JASON GOES TO HELL (Unrated Cut) – Missing “snapped wrist” gore in an uncut scene.
• PART 10: JASON X: Missing audio during a scene in the film in which Jason kills camp counselors in a sleeping bag.

I keep trying to upload the receipt picture and it says Upload failed. I sent an email to that email address and I'll see if I get a reply back.

Worked fine for me for replacement order. Poor shout. This will cost them.

The image upload now works for the replacement form.

It doesn't work for me yet.

I used to feel sorry for them but since this is nothing new for them (and other companies) who continually fuck these releases up, I just can't anymore.

The only thing that worries me is seeing future boxsets releases like this becoming scarce. But at the same time, that is happening anyway due to the market , so it is going to likely happen eventually whether they keep messing up sets like this or not.

I mean...how hard is it to round up some Friday The 13th freaks and have them quality control the box before it gets mass produced? Shit, most would do it for free if you asked them to. It is that lack of oversight that I just cannot understand.

I now got it to work.

Submitted mine with a photo of the Shout Factory order confirmation, says I should get an email when the discs ship. Agreed that they need to hire more people to do quality control before mass-producing these. If they do an Elm Street set I'll likely wait for reports on it before buying.

Just submitted mine. It took a few tries for the upload to go through.

Luckily they had one left. I’m glad too since the guy at the door was in fact a broad and I can’t hit a woman. Unless she over cooks my steak of course.

If anyone is having trouble you can also just email them with info and pic and that’s good too. Got a confirm when I sent just email saying couldn’t do it on site. So that’s an option...

I sent my info but haven't received an email confirmation that they got it. After hitting the submit button it did take me to a page stating that it was received, however.

You won’t get a confirmation if done from site until they ship in November.

Could you post something a bit longer next time? Hard to really get a good grasp in just under 3 hours and 30 minutes!!

But, I’ll tell ya. Those 3:25 go by like nothing. I only looked at my watch like 1,000 times. It’s like waiting for Control to load on One, breeze!

I submitted for my replacement this morning. No issues doing so. I'm not in a huge hurry for the replacements. The issue on part 3 is relatively minor, and the other issues are on my least favorite of the movies. It wouldn't surprise me if I never watched them again.

They all are really minor. Sure, be cool if they weren’t fucked up for a split second, but as long as all spit shined, fully loaded, Real 3D, with fresh new scans and look great, all I really care about...

So I submitted my request for replacement discs. Hope the image uploads went through. I took screenshots of my shipping notice as well as off Shout’s website on my order page. I wasn’t able to click the images on the replacement website to verify they worked, but I didn’t get an error either.

This is what I got when emailed. So, I guess I’m good to go...

Did you get that right away or did it take a bit? I just submitted this evening so I’m not sure if it takes a while or what.
