I'm not 100%, but I thought the Day blu left off some of the stuff from the divimax release?

I know! I was really looking forward to a new TerrorVision poster - so many possibilities! Ah, well. I guess the only difference between collector's editions and regular editions are the lack of reversible covers or posters, as all the regular editions so far have had extras of some sort. I could still envision bare-bones discs though, for at least a couple of the super-low radar titles.

Fabulous news on the 2013 lineup. I'm in for all but Day of the Dead. Sure, I'll even buy that IF it has a better PQ than the other versions. No DNR, no color revisionism, and keep all the grain, please! That goes for all the titles.

Hoping beyond all that LIFEFORCE doesn't get 'dropped', as has a tendency to happen on "announced cult titles", with no reason given! That one, and THE BURNING really will benefit from the upgrade to 1080p, since they were non anamorphic in their DVD incarnations.

The Burning was anamorphic.

I don't understand this comment, unless you're talking about Tokyo Blasters or maybe Arrow - when have Scream/Shout dropped an announced title, with or without explanation?

I've had The Howling German import on Blu-ray for quite a while now, but would gladly trade up for this version. The Fog, too.

I was not singling out Shout in regards to dropping titles, but it seems sometimes rights issues or other frustrating concerns (cost of restoration?) come up which can prevent our beloved cult titles from getting released, or from receiving a proper release. DEADLY SPAWN, and NOTLD 1990, hell even the sub par release of NOTLD 1968 come to mind. In DVD days, several highly anticipated titles (at least to me!) were announced, but fell through the cracks, with nary a DVD in sight (eg, WAVELENGTH, DEADLY EYES, DETROIT 9000, THE ROOMMATES, others...).

Well that's good to know... for me anyway. I never bought the AB BD, but I own the Divimax DVD. I also never upgraded to "Dawn" either as I own the Ultimate Edition.

So if Shout! Factory is unable to port over any of the previous extras, I am still good.

Shit, now I want to watch these.

Carpenter's said he's proud of the film; it would be nice if it was reissued with something other than the dullest audio commentary he's ever recorded.

OT: The Resurrected needs a proper anamorphic widescreen transfer. Necronomicon still hasn't been given a R1 DVD release. I'm not the biggest fan, but I'm sure some folks would like to own The Unnamable films. Any other Lovecraft films MIA?

Does anyone know if Shout Factory has plans to release a Special Edition for Prince of Darkness?

My god I'd love a good release of The Resurrected and Necronomicon (double feature would be cool).

I sold my DVD of From Beyond for $15 on Amazon which means I have to buy the blu now (and softens the blow a bit)

I'd love to have a double-feature BD of both Unnamable films.

Is Dagon still available? That was a decent offering from Gordon; wouldn't mind a BD of that, either.

I haven't seen Necronomicon yet, but for the fans. Here is some information on what was cut from the R rated version.

The new From Beyond artwork reminds me of this poster for the film. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7278/7...b03cc270_o.jpg

So I think it's pretty cool, but I'm also fond of the original U.S. poster which creeped me out as a kid wondering what the film contained with it's more simple design.

There's a really great French R2 release of Necronomicon that has a Brian Yuzna commentary (in English)

Dark Heritage, which I just watched for the horror challenge in October.

Glad to see Futureworld coming. That's one of the top non-horror titles on my wishlist.

Yea, well I DID import, so I'm not exactly in a rush unless they include some must-see bonus stuff or the transfer is light years better.

Same here. If either or both of those things rear their head, I will be picking this up again.

Crime Story/The Protector double feature comes out in 2 weeks.

It also includes Jackie Chan's new cut of The Protector (Cantonese only track)

I've seen a little of the Jackie Chan cut of The Protector (bought the region 0 DVD from HK) and it's hilarious hearing Danny Aiello speak Cantonese.
