Weird, it is pvt for me now also. Maybe some info leaked that shouldn't have? I wish I would have watched the entire thing now.

I pre-ordered Terror Train through Shouts site to get the free poster since the price was right. This is my first pre-order ever and also my first blu-ray release(I don't own a blu-ray player yet, but that may change.) since it's a combo pack and the dvd wasn't available separately.

Welcome to the HD club, Julie! Blu-ray players are quite cheap these days, and a horror buff like yourself should find plenty of worthwhile viewing material in the Blue Underground and Synapse catalogs. Here's the reverse original art for Terror Train:

DVD Aficionado has the DVD & BD release dates listed at 11/6. Not sure where that info was ascertained, though.

Below is from their SDCC booth. I'm really getting excited for this line. Hope the initial run does well to ensure they keep churning them out.

A poster on AV Maniacs received a Shout Factory catalog and posted this:

I also noticed in the catalog that the Scream Factory titles don't go beyond THEY LIVE and PHANTASM II in November. There seems to be NO Scream Factory releases for December, which means DEADLY BLESSING and the double feature THE ISLAND/ DEATH VALLEY are 2013 releases, perhaps, January.

Thanks. That's true about the prices for the players going down. And it seems I always wind up buying a horror film as my first purchase on various formats.

For example, my first dvds were The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween L.E., both bought before I had a player, and I also got Army of Darkness L.E. sometime then as well.

My first laserdisc was the uncut version of Scream once I found a LD player dirt cheap at a pawn shop years ago.

And now Terror Train will be my first blu-ray, and eventually I'll get a player to enjoy it. And I've been holding off on numerous Blue Underground and other companies releases, planning to eventually get them on blu-ray instead of having to re-buy them.

I really want those Halloween 2 and 3 SE's as well, and can't wait to see what's in store for They Live and Phantasm 2 among others.

"With Shout! Select, we're presenting passionate fans with collectible, memorable home entertainment. Shout! Factory will be offering monthly releases of TV-DVD and film catalog titles.

We'll be selling Shout! Select direct to you from the official online store; these titles won't be sold through traditional distribution channels which means you probably won’t find them on retail store shelves.

Shout! Select titles will be created with the same Shout! Factory commitment to excellence, attention to detail and customer service that you have come to expect from our team of pop culture fanatics! So please enjoy and, as always, let us know what you think!"

Can you guys get Abel Ferrara's Ms. 45 (Uncut Version) to Blu-ray? I would travel to China just to buy that one.

Stay tuned for more details on an official street date...

I'll likely pick up Death Valley and The Island when/if they drop to $14.99 or so, as they don't seem like must-own titles to me. I'll continue pre-ordering the others from Shout for the posters, though, as the latter end up costing around $5 each, when one compares the overall prices to Amazon's. I'm mulling having all of the posters framed and put in a row on my wall - we'll see where the collection is in 2013.

Nice. I was initially disappointed when they decided to go DVD only with The Island.

I'm guessing they'll be porting the R2 commentary, as only the interviews are billed as 'all-new'.

That is pretty sweet. Should have flipped my DVD back when it skyrocketed years ago.
