Thanks for posting this. I incorrectly assumed it would be a boxset. So much for hoping the price would be right. The first movie is one of those that I've always liked but never owned. I'll just get the first one now.Originally Posted by Toddarino

Alone in the Dark is delayed. Unclear what the issue is and when it might be resolved, but hopefully we won’t have to wait long! (It was supposed to be out today.)

Likely manufacturing issues due to sheer Blu-ray volume during the ever-important third and fourth quarters. I hear pressings for everything from smaller clients (read as non-major studios) are heavily backed up.
This is what happens when an entire industry relies on fewer and fewer facilities. The supply chain for BDs are very tight these days as everyone wants out of the business.

I just hope whatever supplies and resources they use and which ever corners being cut does not cause the disc to rot in a few years.

On Facebook they said Alone in the Dark should be out by the end of the month. I'm looking forward to watching it.

I'd pre-ordered and got a shipping notice for it yesterday. I'm definitely excited to revisit it for the first time in years.Originally Posted by Bluelitespecial

If there are widespread defects, I'd imagine there would be a replacement program. It's just a Blu-ray...easily replaceable and the least of my concerns in this life.Originally Posted by OldBoy

It just sucks for anyone who was hoping to have some stuff in time for Halloween.

It's happening!

Oktay is reviewing the original movie, William Harrison is fielding Halloween II, and I threw my hat in the ring to write about the other three in this wave. I just posted my review of Halloween III, and I can't get over how gorgeous this remaster is. (And it's the remaster that's the biggest win here; the UHD is an improvement over the new BD in this combo pack, but I guarantee anyone just revisiting the movie in 1080p will not be disappointed.) I'm hoping to have a review for 4 finished no later than Friday.

I finally got the shout factory blue for Halloween III a last year, I wish I had known about this one, as it is the only one of the series that I truly love. I guess I will need to upgrade.Originally Posted by Adam Tyner

Dammit. I was fine on passing on this due to the price but now that they are here, I want them. Not sure if I just want to wait to see if they just do a whole set with them all or wait for a possible price drop. I already have the big set from years ago but would rather have the 4K discs. Dammit.Originally Posted by Adam Tyner

Are you serious? Have you tried contacting their customer service why it's been delayed so long? Did you already charge you too? Originally Posted by Toddarino

Yeah I got charged when I ordered. I’ve emailed them, but received no response. I guess they’ve stopped responding to people on Twitter and some people aren’t getting email replies as well.Originally Posted by DJariya

You should file a CC dispute that you never received the product. They just took your money and there’s no way to get ahold of them. Originally Posted by Toddarino

Just got a generic email that went out to everyone. Looks like the set I ordered has a date of the 25th.
Now I’m pissed.

Another review in the books: Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. I'll have Revenge up probably mid-ish next week.

As promised, I just posted my longer-than-any-rational-person-would-devote-this-much-time-and-energy-into review of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers.
