For those who might be interested, Scream just tweeted that their upcoming steel book release of THE HOWLING will feature a new interview with Dee Wallace.

These steelbooks are actually easy purchases if you have the slipcover for the original release. Sell them on Ebay and you're basically being paid to own the new release.

I still much prefer the original releases simply for the fact of having the reversible artwork.

I sold Lifeforce and The Howling for about 90 dollars combined on Ebay. Then pre ordered the steelbooks for about 40 on Amazon.

If they can spring for a new interview -- and presumably press new discs -- for their HOWLING reissue, it's too bad they couldn't spring for a reinstatement of the vintage making-of doc that only appeared on the original LIFEFORCE release, or better yet pay more to get their hands on that phenomenal 70-minute documentary from Arrow's UK edition. But alas . . .

Maybe they'll get The Beach at some point, but wasn't that one Fox? Granted, I can get The Beach on HDX via VUDU.

That would be great. Fox put out a blu of MitIM though with that MGM distribution deal.

I'd like Criterion to do that one though.

Glad to see HOHH finally released. Very under-rated compared to the crap that came out around that time.

Just announced on Facebook, a new Trick R' Treat bluray is coming out on October 9th. I'll definitely be buying since I only have the bare bones dvd.

I'll wait on the special features. I hear it's not a remaster, so...if it's just a fluff piece I will stick to the WB release.

Finally! An official release of Wasp Woman. Always figured this would be a Warner Archive title someday. TCM shows the official studio print and it looks great.
Now if they can get MGM/UA to turn over the studio print of The Terror. TCM shows this also and the quality is equal to the Vincent Price Cormans.

I've always liked this one as a guilty pleasure. Hanks is great as usual. Count me in.
