I second that... its utterly boring
At least we know that if Shout has the rights to that one, then that episode of MST3K will probably be appearing on a box set soon...

I actually think it might be cool to include the MST3K version as an extra on the disc. (or for MST3K fans the movie would be the extra on an MST3k disc)

The fact that this is a double feature is outstanding, it also makes great thematic sense.

Love that it is a double feature. I hope they do more sets like this with the smaller titles. It'll help save pennies

A Night Of The Demons blu-ray next year would be nice. I believe it will be the 25th anniversary, great time for a blu-ray!

I wouldn't say Shout doubling up titles is a good thing. I'm sure they're doing it because they expect each title will sell very little on its own, but I wouldn't have filed these two together, so I'm not exactly stoked on this. Still, I have to remember that having both on BD is better than nothing, which is exactly what we have now.

Not a fan of double features and don't like The Video Dead. Going to have to wait for a bargain bin deal on this one.

Hints for tomorrow's THREE title announcements:

- all from the '80s
- none have been on DVD

They also wanted to note that these titles can be expected Q3 2013, and that Blu-rays are not guaranteed since they haven't checked out the masters yet.

Are these horror titles or was it not specified?

I'm still holding out for Electric Dreams and The Legend of Billie Jean... and both scream Shout Factory!!

They didn't say, but since this is being billed as a "Special Halloween Weekend" announcement, I'd assume so.

Well, I wouldn't have gone the double feature route either, but at least the two flicks, both being TV orientated, have a similar theme which makes sense. Plus, we've seen Cliff state, both here and at the Blu-Ray.com forums, that while he'd like to release as much as he can on Blu-Ray, it's just not economically feasible. I'm sure the choice came down to either a double feature combo-pack, or individual DVD-only releases, and if that was the case, then I'm glad we have the Blu-Ray option.

With this, I'm sure it's a safe bet that The Town That Dreaded Sundown and The Evictors will be a double feature as well, although they do share a director, which would make more sense for a double feature as well.

I wonder why Shout doesn't crib from Synapse and release everything as a Blu/DVD combo pack. That way, everyone can be satisfied and no money is "wasted" producing separate versions. I thought of that when I noticed my Target had about a dozen DVDs of both Halloween II & III, yet no BDs.

I was really hoping for New Year's Evil. However, I really love X-Ray aka Hospital Massacre so I will be picking that one up for sure.

Haven't seen The Godsend.

I haven't seen ANY of these. Guess I'll have to watch some trailers later.

I'm a fan of all these, Schizoid being the lesser of the three. Just revisited Hospital Massacre for the horror challenge and it's still as absurdly fun as ever.

Same here. Honestly, none of the names even sound familiar.
