I'd rather have a digipack format. My Season 2 BD review copy arrived with one of the two hinges broken.

Hey Gizmo,
is there any mention of a rebate on the previous purchase of s1 and s2 dvds (like what they did with s4?). I'm wondering if I should just sell my SD copies now, or hold off a week or two.

Yep $20 rebate from the original DVDs. You need only the Oroof of Purchase tab or UPC from your original DVDs (no photocopies).

It is good to know that. I usually don't cut out part of a set but considering that I will most likely sell the SD sets of season 1 and 2 to a friend then I will probably do this rebate.

If you have the sets pre-ordered on Amazon from their previous deals you can snag these on Blu-ray really cheap.

Do both Season 1 and Season 2 come with this rebate?

Thanks,

You don't need to cut anything off of the Blu-ray art? Because there's NO WAY I'm doing that. It pisses me off when they demand crap like that.

You need too cut both Proof of Purchases from the DVD and BD. The BD POP is literally the size of my fingernail though.

Thanks, GizmoDVD. Grrr...I hate it when they do this. I just sold my Lost S2 set for $20 on Craigslisst. Still have S1, though, at least.

Great news about the rebates. The $20 that I'll get back for Season 2 might take some of the sting out of Amazon trying to stiff me for an extra $14.

Small note - it says 1 per household....so maybe use a parents/friend for the second.

Gizmo,
Thanks for the rebate information! Can't wait for them to arrive.
I'm assuming its a $20 rebate for each season set, correct?

With all the rebates and incentives, I'm not sure its worth waiting for a complete series set in 2011.

Argh... sold Lost S2 on Amazon Marketplace for $30 last week. Oh well, still got S1. I usually forget about these rebates anyways.

What's the packaging like? Does it mirror S4's slipcover? the OCD man inside me is going to go nuts when I put all the seasons together and S3's packaging doesn't match. heh.

They both mirror S4. S3 is still the odd duck.

Re: Lost: Seasons One and Two on Blu-ray - June 16th, 2009

FYI, I wrote Amazon a nice email saying I was trying to add S5 to my cart with an additional $10 off (as the page says "buy ANY 2, 3, or 4 seasons of lost") as I had purchased S1 and S2 and really wanted 5 as well. The CS rep was nice enough to add S5 to my cart at $39.99. Guess it pays to be nice.

Awesome! I just got off the phone with them and 'Todd' was very helpful and took $10 off season 5 for me as well.

I've only ever watched the first three episodes ( I know, I know), but I already pre-ordered Seasons 1 & 2 from Amazon... can't wait!

I can't friggin' wait till Thursday when these will arrive from Amazon. I'm going to start re-watching it almost immediately. In fact, I'll hopefully have one of my sister's watching with me who has never seen past the Pilot episode before. Should be mega fun.

Re: Lost: Seasons One and Two on Blu-ray - June 16th, 2009

surprisingly, Amazon sent me notice these are shipping to me today - to arrive by Wednesday. I absolutely cannot wait! (same as a couple others here)

The only way I'll pick up a Lost: Complete Series set late next year is if...

1) They offer a substantial rebate for those of us who have purchased previous seasons.
2) There's some sort of post-mortem documentary with Cuse and Lindelof detailing storylines that got cut, plans they had to change, etc, etc.

Throwing seasons 1-6 in a 'fancy' box with maybe a few featurettes won't do it for me.

Got my shipping notice from Amazon as well. No sign of the $34.99 price adjustment. That sucks.

This is why I decided to cancel my order a few months ago when they raised the price back up from $34.99. I'm just going to pick it up from BB which has it for the same price $48.99 with $20 off for buying 2 seasons.

Re: Lost: Seasons One and Two on Blu-ray - June 16th, 2009

I'm saving the tax on going with Amazon, but I didn't know BB had them at the same price with the same deal or I would have cancelled with Amazon out of spite. As it is I cancelled to video game pre-orders this week since they can never seem to get their shit straight with shipping pre-orders for new games on time - at least not with me.

Yeah, it's the same exact deal unless, as mentioned above you tacked on Season 5 for an additional $10 off. Not a huge difference.
