Yeah, I was thinking of that. I just did it. Thought now I can't find the coupon that I had printed out... and I can't get the link to work on the site! Is the coupon not available anymore? Can anybody re-post it somehow without going through the sonypictures site, which isn't working for me?

heading out the door to the midnight Ghostbusters bluray premiere screening, in beverly hills it would be so nice if they gave out the bluray to every one who attends.

Harry Knowles was bitching about the grain on this release on twitter - he seems to think they did something to artificially boost the grain and that it wasn't just inherent to the original source...

I wasn't aware he was still relevant. Since his website looks like something out of 1997, I just figured he no longer existed.

I feel the same way about Bill Hunt and TDB. How is it these guys just don't get with the times and make a design that at least puts them in the past few years? It would be like rockin' a GeoCities page.

As someone who saw Ghostbusters in 35mm about a month ago, I can tell you there was a lot of grain present. Granted, it was a print that's probably been floating around for God knows how long, but there was a lot of grain.

Re: Ghostbusters 25th anniversary june 16th
Good Afternoon everyone, so last night was the Bluray premiere of Ghostbusters at the Beverly Hills fine arts theatre, Ivan Riteman was there in attendence last night.
this was projected directly from the Bluray on a Christie 2K DLP Projector.
on a 40 foot screen.
I can tell you the movie looked absolutely beautiful, sony did an amazing job with this transfer. It was just like the original film print looked when i saw it years ago, and the freshly minted 35mm print i saw at the end of last year.
anyone having any issues with picking this up, toss those fears aside the bluray looked amazing on the big screen.
I was hopeing they would have had given out comp copies of the disc to the audience as there were only about 80 to90 of us there (most other dvd/bluray premieres the studios do this) but still just getting to see the bluray presented on the big screen at the finearts theatre in beverly hills was great

Ghostbusters 3 is not a sure thing, Ivan reitman said last night, that yes there is a script being worked on and yes he hopes to work with bill murray(who he has worked with 5 times) in Ghostbusters 3 but he said as always it all comes down to the script and if EVERYONE signs of on it, (meaning himself, akroydd,Murray,Ramis) he said he can only see himself directing it if its something that can live up to the first movie. he also talked about it feeling right for the first time in years to be seriously pursuing a ghostbuster 3 being made. oh and when asked about the bluray about ghostbusters 2 he said sony was working on it, and he also answerd a question about the possibilities of including special features on ghost busters 2 his response was if they can locate footage and other elements to use for special features they would

The grain you see is grain that has always been there, its funny how people complain about DNR then when you have a movie, where sony put alot of love in completely perserving the look of the film, everyone is up in arms about the film grain.
The movie looks great, end of story! I noticed stuff i had not previously noticed before. the detail was amazing, the actors all looked natural and the prior dvd cropping issues are not there as well.

With GB3 maybe not going to happen...where is GB2 on Blu-ray? I hate owning one film with the others are not available on the format.
