It was an HD night for some oldies but goodies
Oceans 11 and
Smokey and The Bandit One of my favorite movies of all time. Graduated high school in 1977 and saw this in the theater. Have always liked this better than the other movie of that summer, a little sleeper called Star Wars

Never heard of it. How did they know to make a movie called Star Wars several years before President Reagan introduced his imaginative missile defense plan?

Had a number of poor reviews, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Very taut, tense Sci-fi/Horror flick. Ben Foster did a good job as lead for a relatively unknown actor (was surprised to find he was the geeky teen in "Liberty Heights").

Apocalypto
Watched this when it was released and was wowed by the colors and overall presentation but after watching it on this past weekend, I was seriously underwhelmed. Soft image with stellar audio and a great story makes this an "OK" BD overall.

Rome - Season 2: Ep, 9 & 10 - About as close to crying as I can come watching a TV series end. I still believe its HBO's most underrated TV show, a million times better than crap like the Sopranos & Titus Pulo may be one of, if not the most bad-ass TV character of all-time.

Watching M:I:3 tonight (Philip Seymour Hoffman, woo). First time since I saw it in the theater!
