Henry Poole Is Here The preview we saw made this movie seem much more whimsical. It was pretty heavy for a dramedy. Not a bad movie just a little deeper than I was prepared for. Good audio and video but as expected the audio was very center channel heavy since it was all talk no action.
Star Trek The new one. Seen it several times and it never fails to entertain. I just don't like the kid who plays Chekov. The accent is way too think compared to Walter Koenig

Chuck: Season One. One of my favorite shows ever now! This is one of the most enjoyable series I have ever seen. It's very funny and very cool. A nice combination.

An Education and Sherlock Holmes over the weekend. Both were good, but I wasn't as impressed with either as I expected. They seemed like very good acting exercises and some action sequences in Holmes, but little resonated. Mulligan and Downey Jr. were brilliant. Supporting performances were all very good, but I'd never watch either film again.

I just finished watching the B&W version of The Mist. I loved this movie in color but feel it's even more moody and effective in black and white. Also, you can tell the movie was lit with black and white in mind despite being shot in color. As always that ending leaves me feeling as if I have a hole in my chest.

Assault on Precinct 13 - Oh, how I love this movie. One of Carpenter's best, great writing, action, characters and score. The PQ is fantastic, as is the AQ. I'm so glad he favored high-quality 35mm film stock, and shooting with good anamorphic lenses, because his catalog films look awesome on BD.

Bad Lieutenant: "In Case you forgot how great Cage can be" Is what the movie should be called. Didn't notice the audio issues people are stating. PQ isn't perfect but a must-own film.

Transporter 3 - Love the movie, lots of fun. 10,000x better than Trans2, but not as good as the 1st.
Bought it at Blockbuster for $6.99.
