District 13: Ultimatum - Big fan of the first movie & thought this one was even better. Just a lot of fun, fantastic fight scenes, pretty lame villain though. Really wish Cyril would do more leading work, would love to see these two do another film together. Booming audio excellent PQ.

i've now owned my ps3 for 3 weeks and I still haven't watched a blu ray movie. Just the beginning of one to check out the picture quality! how sad is that! =)

Surprisingly fun film. Loved the leads. A/V was fantastic.

G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra
Thought I would hate this film, but it ended up being the exact opposite. Too much fun.

Alice in Wonderland (Burton)-Visually stunning and better than I was expecting.
Crazy Heart-Great performance by Jeff Bridges but was able to predict most of the story. Not the most original.

The Invention of Lying via Netflix
Pretty funny, though a lot of the early comments in the film felt like everyone had just recently lost their ability to lie, rather than never having had the ability in the first place.

Wolverine - It's an OK movie..
Transfomers 2 (Just the Special Features) - For a bad movie, the SF are really good and quite entertaining.

James Ivory's A Room With A View (1986): except for Helena Bonham-Carter there is an unending parade of great British thesps (Julian Sands, Simon Callow, Maggie Smith, Denholm Elliott, Maggie Smith, etc.) bringing E.M. Forster's novel to life. Great HD-DVD transfer brings Florence and the English countryside locales to beautiful 1080p detail.
John Woo's The Killer (1989): are you kidding me? This 1080i/30hz transfer barely looks better than the rental VHS copy of "The Killer" I watched in '91. Oh well, still a terrific gunplay/fireworks Woo spectacle even if it doesn't fly as high as Woo's "Hard Boiled" or the Melville/Peckinpah flicks the director was paying homage to.

Edward Scissorhands - PQ is an upgrade over the last DVD, though it's a mixed bag transfer. AQ gets a nice bump. I felt like I had to upgrade my fav Burton flick, plus it was only $10 @ Target.
Zombieland - I enjoyed the hell out of this one a lot more than I did in theaters. Eisenberg is still a little too Michael Cera at times, but it's a damn fun flick. PQ was excellent, as was the AQ.
Moon - Slow, but wonderfully conceived and shot film with Sam Rockwell giving such an amazing performance you sometimes forget he doesn't have clones in real life acting against him. PQ was solid, AQ was much more robust than I expected.

John Adams (2008) for the Historical challenge. Good, but it could have been great. Seemed like a lot of details were skipped or glossed over. Would have been much better if it were 2 or 3 episodes longer.

Office Space- I enjoyed seeing it again but for some reason I didn't find it as funny. Its good just not as good as I remembered it being.
Frailty- Awesome movie. I picked this up as a blind buy a while back at Wal-Mart for $10 and I thought it was fantastic. I'd recommend it to anyone if you're looking for a good thriller at a low price.

Had a blast with this one. Great BD packaging as well. Would easily sneak into my top 10 of 2010.
