I love watching the "older" movies on HD. Almost make it seem that I'm watching it for the very first time.

The Terminator trilogy. Boy, those effects in T1 get more dated every time I see them, but I guess that's part of the charm. T2 holds up remarkably well. And I still really enjoy T3 despite one or two self-referential jokey moments that take me out of the film.

He's Just Not That In To You Actually not a bad movie. I enjoyed it. Very nice PQ and AQ as a new movie should be. This was a rental and probably not one I would own but I definately would be interested in seeing again some day.

Punisher: War Zone
I know it was critically panned but I found this movie surprisingly entertaining and I'm happy to have it in my collection especially since I got it for $14.99

True Blood: Season One. I purchased it as a blind buy during one of the awesome WBShop Sales. Finally got my order around two weeks ago and put on the first disc of the set last weekend. I've fallen in love with the show. It is really addictive and I am already excited about the thought of owning Season 2 on Blu-ray (even if the wait will be a year). What an awesome and fun series to watch. PQ/AQ was also unbelievable.
I also just recently watched The Princess Bride. The picture quality was much better than I ever imagined being possible for the film. I've seen it so many times, and never was the quality even close to the Blu-ray presentation. I was very happy with this purchase as well.

The Mist (Blu-Ray)
Blind-bought this film based on the many good things I heard about it. Really enjoyed the film, definitely going to watch it again soon

Just watched Polanski's Repulsion from Criterion, and while it was a great movie and a great BD transfer, I wasn't exactly blown away - I probably would've been just as happy with the regular dvd - but since amazon actually had the Repulsion blu-ray cheaper than they did the SD, then it was a no-brainer.
A blu-ray I just watched that I was blown away by was this:

The story and characters are actually fairly typical and nothing you've never seen before - nothing bad or insulting, just standard fare. But what really impressed me was the art design, especially for the fully realized world and the environments - some very, very cool looking stuff, using some of the best quality CGI I've seen this side of Pixar - great action sequences too, directed with real panache, and it's all paced very well too - it's something that I look forward to watching again just to take in the sights.
Oh, and the transfer on the blu-ray is just fan-fucking-tastic - Pixar caliber really.
The disc is kinda weird though; it stars you off with a bunch of shitty trailers that you have to keep skipping though (you can't get straight to the menu), and then it has a "quick start" that if you press the menu button on, it'll take you back to the trailers, and you can only really access the menu and extras while you're on the movie - so I was concerned at first, but the movie proper on the disc looks and sounds as good as anything.

The Last Emperor. Extremely disappointing PQ/AQ. The movie's aspect ratio is an issue as well, as I felt like I was watching a cropped film. The movie itself is good but not as enjoyable as I expected it to be considering it won so many awards. It was good though, I really am glad to have finally seen it, and I wouldn't mind owning it either if it were not for the terrible job Criterion did with this release.

Been working my way though Season 1 of Pushing Daisies. One of the best TV shows to own on Blu-Ray b/c of the popping, vivid colors all the sets have. Also, the single most charming TV series I've ever seen. Utterly brilliant writing, fantastic lead actors, no wonder the show got cancelled.

Just popped in the Final disc of Lost: Season One. This is my first time ever watching the series, loved the first 20+ episodes though.

3:10 to Yuma...looked great and sounded good too. The movie was decent...I got it in a trade here. Don't think I'll watch it again though...
Shaun of the Dead...Gets better every time I watch it...looks and sounds great too.
I'll also echo what everyone is saying about Pushing Daisies...my wife and I were so sad to see this show go. I always found myself smiling throughout each episode...I'll be picking these up on Blu-ray soon...

The Man Who Fell to Earth. Some interesting visuals aside, I really could not connect to this movie. I'm not even sure what I watched exactly. I'm very glad this was just a rental. I don't see myself ever wanting to watch it again.
The Visitor. What a remarkable, powerful film, with an award worthy performance from Richard Jenkins. I loved this film and I urge everyone to view it irregardless of how they feel about Immigration Control. It may make you look at the issue in an entirely different way - a different light. This is easily one of the best films I have seen recently.
