Repulsion. Movie followed by commentary. Excellent all around.

Just finished the "lost" 13th episode Epitaph One from Dollhouse Season 1. So glad I decided to get the Blu set instead of the standard set since Epitaph One and the original pilot only have Dolby 2.0

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Good all around. Still waiting to hear about progress on "Dawn Treader". Forget who picked up the series after Disney ditched it... or have there been any takers?

The International -- Stunning PQ. Plot kind of fell apart as it went along.
Watchmen -- Very good PQ, rockin' audio, hard for me to be objective about the movie.
Bonnie & Clyde -- OK PQ, clean mono audio, used to like this movie a lot more before I read Brian Burrough's "Public Enemies." The real Bonnie and Clyde were not cute or romantic.

Watchmen- Picture and Audio was great. Enjoyed this movie just as much as the first time I'd seen it.
Taken- A lot shorter then I thought it would be but was a great fast paced action movie.

30 Days of Night - Looked incredible. Still a kick ass movie
The Dark Knight - 2nd viewing, still only a good movie. PQ great in the IMAX sequences, decent in the others

The Deep My generation's Into The Blue. Doesn't quite have the pop that Into The Blue has but of course it's a 32 year old movie. I remember seeing it in the theater. Instead of Jessica Alba's ass we had Jacqueline Bisset's wet t-shirt. My little 18 year old hormones defiantely appreciated 33 year old boobies on Ms. Bisset.
The BR looks and sounds light years ahead of the previous bare bones release. I picked it up at the DVDPlanet 25% off sale for $15. Well worth owning for the sentimental value.

I'm on vacation for the whole month so I spent yesterday watching some Blu-rays:
The Longest Day: Loved this movie ever since I was a kid. One of my favorite war movies.
Picture looked good but in my non-professional opinion, I think they boosted the brightness way too much that in some shots of the movie where the actors are standing behind a fake background, it is very obvious that they added the background since the actors have almost like a white halo around their bodies. Sounds was good but this blu-ray is no reference material.
The Princess Bride: Another favorite of mine and compared with the SD DVD, the blu-ray is much better in regards to picture and sound. However, compared to some of the older catalogue reference titles Blu-rays like for example Big Trouble in Little China, it pales in comparison.

Princess Bride is long time family favorite. Very happy to finally get rid of my first release non-anamorphic copy.

Grease: I never owned this movie on DVD before so I can't do the comparison but this Blu-ray version blew me away. I never seen this movie with such an amazing PQ and AQ. I truly feel that the soundtrack comes alive on this version. A definite upgrade for fans of the movie.
Romancing The Stone: This is such as fun movie. I watched it repeatedly over the years but I never bothered owning the DVD. This movie heavily "borrows" from the Quatermain and Indiana Jones movies but the chemistry between the 3 leads (Douglas, Turner and DeVito) is obvious that makes it very enjoyable. PQ and AQ is above average for a catalogue title.

I always loved Romancing the Stone. The wife and I saw this when we were still dating (and therefore I would get sex at the end of the night) so it certainly holds special memories for me. I'm disappointed I jumped on the SE's of this and Jewel because I'm tempted to upgrade again.
