The Karate Kid (1984): Man, I love this movie even though it was corny. I have yet to see the remake because it might tarnished the original for me.
- "Alli with an i."
- "What's your name?"
- "Daniel with an L"
PQ is okay but I thought the AQ was underwhelming.

Band Of Brothers Since I'm prepping for tomorrow's colonoscopy I can't go anywhere today so it's a good day to watch the entire BoB series

Public Enemies

Not bad, but for a Michael Mann movie about Dillinger starring Depp and Bale, "not bad" doesn't cut it and anything less than "excellent" is a huge disappointment. The blu-ray was sharp as a tack throughout, but Mann's choice in shooting most of the movie on cheap digital video made a lot of it look like a bad soap opera shot in HD, only with a shaky hand-held style.

Rain Man - The picture could have been better in parts, but still worth the upgrade.

Until the Light Takes Us - Doc. on the black metal scene in Norway circa early '90s. I was interested by the subject matter, but the doc itself is often middling, incoherent and aimless. The supplements and extended interviews are far more fascinating.

I greatly enjoyed it. Has some slow moments, but I dug the look and feel of it. The violence was a bit more toned down, considering the things he's done in Sonatine and Fireworks. But it was a blind buy pickup when I was in Hong Kong, and after seeing it, I'm glad I did. And the copy I picked up was a HK release.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't know a HK release was available. I'm going to have to search the net for a copy sometime.

Knight And Day a repeat viewing. Did anyone else notice Cameron Diaz' man hands. When she's in the plane bathroom and breathes into her hand, she has some real masculine paws

They come in handy to handle A-Rod's rod.

Let Me In: It was a decent movie I thought and personally I enjoyed it more than Let The Right One In. I wouldn't exactly say I loved it though. I guess the whole vampire thing just really doesn't do much for me. The story was pretty good and I thought both the leads did well.
