Deep Blue Sea - This movie is just a lot of fun. Sam Jackson has some of the most absurd dialogue I've ever heard on film and he sees it all with such seriousness it is great. The effects hold up very well. Just a solid killer shark film.

Red Desert - I find watching a master of the French New Wave exploring a full chromatic palette more exciting on screen than any bloated special effect in boring and empty films like Avatar that people lap up. This is my favorite conflicted, distant, and ethereal Vitti performance and a movie that is so rewatchable because it can be disected from so many different points. A must own blu-ray.

Frozen. Audio and video are okay, nothing special. This is one of those movies where the premise sounds great, but the final product falls short. There was some suspense, but it just didn't quite deliver overall. A bit too much filler towards the end and not enough terror. I think my expectations were probably a tad too high. This is definitely a rent only movie.

Frozen - Liked it a lot when I saw it in theaters, still like it at home. If you can just overlook some of the obvious "can't happen" aspects and roll with the movie (which is not different from every horror movie including the greats) its good horror. Haven't gone through the extras yet but I'm looking forward to the commentary.

Pride and Prejudice The wife and daughter watched this
Kick Ass A little different but fun. This was a rental but I would own it if I found it at the right price

The Secret In Their Eyes
A solid pot-boiler drama that took itself a little too seriously, given the pulp aspects of the material.
Good movie, though it didn't deserve the Oscar for best foreign flick - either White Ribbon or A Prophet deserved it a lot more.
Great HD transfer though - you could see the cracks in some of the old-age make-up.
