Showgirls - I can't believe I'd never seen this. For such a notorious film, I don't think it could have lived up to what I had pictured in my mind, but it was still a lurid, trashy, spectacle of a film. PQ looked great, and the AQ was solid. Extras are weak, though.

Sorry this took so long Abe. I did A/B them, and you're right, the transfer on the DVD is good. But to me, the BD looks great. It really surprised me. The police interrogation scenes look fantastic, IMO. Most everything on the BD looks a little cleaner & clearer. There are a few frustrating spots however, but I can't tell if it's the film's style or the transfer. For instance, the "girlfriend's premonition" scene, the shots of the wall still look a bit dark & unfocused. There is some grain, which leads me to believe very little DNR was applied, maybe some, but nothing looks remotely waxy here. I'm not a pro reviewer or anything obviously, so I'm interested myself in seeing what they say about the BD. I imagine it's a hard BD to grade because of the style.

I tried to watch Pierrot Le Fou and got bored with it after about an hour so I took it out and put it in the trash pile

Date Night Funny movie we saw in the theater. Good looking Blu-ray. Tina Fey is one of the hottest girl-next-door types. I would take her over the bleach blonde, plastic titty, reality star wanna-be's any day of the week.

Iron Man 2--Oy vey, what a mess. Definitely a huge step down from the first one, which I thought was overrated but still good and made you care about the characters. Most of this had a stupid video game feeling to it. Still, not a total disaster and certainly a lot of talent on the screen. Scarlett looked phenomenal and if you're replacing Emily Blunt, I think they picked the perfect replacement. Too bad there wasn't a little more to her role. But all the characters seemed to lack depth this time around.

Now double feature night continues...
